  1. You will need to test the gun with the D Drop Shim Plate, D Drop Shim, DX Cast Cast.
  2. Casting the gun left handed would allow your left eye to gain center alignment... most gun fittings SBE 2's and 3's set up fairly flat in the C Drop Shim Plate as well as the C drop shim shim. In your case your will be setting the gun up CSX Drop Shim Plate, C Drop Shim, SX Cast shim, you may need the D Drop Shim Plate and D Drop shim to obtain flat rib.

    Benelli Ethos

"The tube would not disengage and I had to pry it apart with a screwdriver". Could you explain this further. It would be very helpful to look up the gun on the Midwest Gun Works website , go to gun parts, select Ethos then look up the actual parts name. What is currently wrong with the gun after it was sent back to Benelli, did they repair, maybe someone can assist you to correct the core of your issue. Please PM me if so desired.
  4. Benelli # 80155 has the correct parts to effectively deliver and store shells in the magazine tube with damaging the Carrier Latch when shells are released from the magazine tube. Guns that release multiple shells from the magazine have in most cases bent Carrier Latches or out of spec drop shells levers, or both. Please let me know how I can help.
  5. To correct this you will need to change your Drop Shim Plate in the rear of the gun and the corresponding drip shim. Your gun is currently set up with the BDX Drop Shim Plate and the B Drop Shim (behind the receiver). You could try the C DX Drop Shim Plate and the C Drop Shim, this should get you closer to looking flat down the rib. You may have to move to the D DX Drop Shim Plate and D Drop Shim if needed. I have found some shooters with 26" barrels moving to the D Drop Shim Plate while 28" barrels seem to end up with the C Drop Shim Plate. I personally own a Performance shop 24" and fitting quite nicely in the C DX Drop Shim Plate, C Drop Shim, DX 6MM. Please let me know if you may need assistance.
  6. The Benelli 828U 26" has a "High Rib" installed. For reference the Ethos Field has a mid Rib, the Montefeltro has a Low Rib. If you are have fitting issues, (most 828U's do not fit - out of the box) I could surely assist in walking you through the Quardra Fit System. This is system is the most robust system of all of the Benelli models. Most 828U's out of the box will aim high. I am attaching fitting diagrams and Benelli Patterning Specs.

    SBE 2

Here are some Quick Tips that I have put together after working on over 1100 Benelli's, 100% "Cycles Shells Like New". Another way to word this, both of your guns would be 100% as well. Please let me know how I can help. QUICK TIPS – Benelli Ø SHOOTING BB’S – EVERY SHELL MUST DROP FREELY INTO CHAMBER – MOST DON’T, BENELLI BORES GUN TIGHT – CAPTURE ENERTIA Ø ENERTIA GUNS MUST BE SHOULDERD Ø CORRECT RECOIL SPRING – Ø RECOIL SPRING TOLERANCES EVEN NEW ARE POOR Ø CLEAN GUN Ø RECOIL SPRING TUBE – CLEAN VERY LITTLE LUBE Ø IF THE MAGAZINE IS NOT RELEASING SHELLS OR RELEASES MULTIPLES YOUR CARRIER LATCH OR DROP SHELL LEVER IS OUT OF SPEC, MAYBE BOTH Ø SHOOTING OVERHEAD 10 OCLOCK TO 2 OCLOCK WILL TEST MOST BENELLI’S RECOIL SPRING AND CLEANING – BOLT NOW HAS TO FACE THE FORCE OF GRAVITY RETURNING TO 1/16 TWIST BATTERY Ø MOST GUNS THAT SHOOT HIGH ARE NOT FITTED PROPERLY – FLAT RIB, FLOAT TARGET Ø MOST GUNS THAT SHOOT LEFT OR RIGHT, IS AN EYE ALIGNMENT FITTING ISSUE Ø BENELLI PATTERNING SPEC IS: Benelli Pattern Spec: Up to 2” right of left Up to 5” above POA Up to 2” Below POA At 21 yards
  9. Howie Quadrafit - Benelli fitting system, in the M2 is not as robust as the 828U where you have 3mm & 6mm of cast right or left. You could try to purchase a new drop shim plate however I believe you are going to run into difficulties fitting the OEM SX drop shim. In shotgun fitting there is another method which basically is "fitting the shooter to the gun"... in short you are correctly positioning the gun, drop & cast before you shoulder the gun.
  10. The Benelli Pattern spec as noted, your gun is shooting left more than likely because your eye is not aligned down the barrel, if you eye right eye is to far to the right, you will "CORRECT" this by moving the stock of the gun to the right - you are now pointing the gun to the left. Remembering you are shooting the gun... to correct this you could cast your gun left handed and use the DSX Drop Shim Plate and the corresponding SX Cast Shim and the D Drop Shim. I have set up many right handed shooters with this setup with very good results. Please let me know how I can help.
  11. Spoke to Rob Roberts today, both 12 & 20 gauge Performance Shop Waterfowl SBE 3 & M2 - honed and polished action, custom-tuned trigger group, ended after the 2019 build guns. I personally own a SBE PS 3 which was patterned by Rob Roberts - pattern included with every gun. The center of the pattern was Center slightly low of POA, with 1/2". Most "Shooting High" issues are caused by improper fitting, you must have the barrel flat. Remembering you are shooting the gun... Benelli fitting system is very effective to bring most shooters into above said position - Flat Rib! I have found several shooters benefit from casting the gun left handed/right hand shooter to get proper eye alignment, side to side. It is critical to note Benelli Pattern Specs - no one talks about this critical metric. CENTER OF PATTER MAY BE: Up to 2" left or right of Point of Aim Up to 5" above Point Of Aim Up to 2" below Point Of Aim AT 21 YARDS Most SBE 3's WHEN FITTED PROPERLY will shot with the delta 1-3 inches high at 21 yards, this establishes a great 60/40 pattern.
  12. This description was posted in the 2019 Dealer Workbook, I see different description of the PS Waterfowl Model, after 2019. Will be interesting to find out.
  13. There is no mention of "tuned trigger group or the honed and polished bolt," after 2019 Benelli Dealer Workbook. I will be contact Rob Roberts this week on other topics as well. This is on both 12 & 20 gauge models. Will update after contact.
  14. I have not found this issue while servicing many Vinci's. I would move on the warranty very quickly, your Vinci has a 5 year warranty.
  15. No need to register a new gun from Benelli, the date code is stamped on the receiver. This changed in some models many years ago such as the SBE 3 has been date stamped since 2017, similar to all Ethos linage.
  16. No need to register a new gun from Benelli, the date code is stamped on the receiver. This changed in some models many years ago such as the SBE 3 has been date stamped since 2017, similar to all Ethos linage.
  17. The gun is designed to shoot a 60/40 pattern, this pellet count should be taken from the 21 yard line - a 6" circle is placed above the point of aim - the pellet count ideally will be 60 % high of the middle of the 6" circle. Guns shooting higher are guns that typically do not fit the shooter, and can be adjusted with the Benelli fitting system. Remembering you are shooting the gun.
  18. Please PM me, it sound like your carrier latch is not in alignment with the drop shells lever. Having worked on over 1050 Benelli the repair is not extensive, buying a new trigger pack is not needed.
  19. The Performance Center Super Sport was sent to Briley for Briley Parts as well as force coning work, back boring, trigger and action polishing. Without seeing the gun my hunch is the disconnector and possibly the trigger shoe is now out of spec. Please reach out if you would like additional insights on how to test the disconnector.
  20. Both current model guns use Crio choke tubes.
  21. Did Benelli send you the patterning results after the gun was shot at Benelli USA? Did they include any comments about the results they established during the test shooting? Here is a image of established pellet counts. Remembering the pellet count is taken from the center of the 6" circle target.
  22. Benelli Ultra Light - fantastic gun, big demand, great price, can be converted into left handed safety. Please let me know if you need assistance.
  23. I believe you will need to be more specific about when and why your gun is either not feeding shells from the magazine or is the bolt locking back upon shooting. If it is the later you have one to to three possible issues. 1. Your carrier latch is out of adjustment 2. The drop shells lever was cut, out of spec 3. The trigger guard is out of spec If you would like to PM and would be very willing to assist you.
  24. Your Carrier Latch/Drop shell lever interaction is out of adjustment. Did you add any aftermarket parts to the gun?
