  1. This is normal, enlarge the end of the plug slightly for a solution.
  2. I will see if I can get photos in the near future when I work on my next Ethos.
  3. Your carrier latch is out of spec, basically it does not have enough face contact with the shells it containing in the magazine. If you have an extended magazine on the gun, you may have damaged the latch. A very good Benelli expert or Benelli customer service RMA, will be the path foreward. Most Carrier latches that I repair or replace are bent out of spec because of two issues. Number 1, extended magazine, many companies who make these do not calibrate the magazine spring properly. Thus too much pressure is place on the carrier latch, bending it. Number 2, i will not mention on this forum.
  4. The Montefeltro Silver as well as the past generation of Ultra Lights are 2 + 1 capacity magazines. This wes a weight savings feature on both models. The magazine tube is a shorter length, there will be no converter for these models. Both models are based on the Montefeltro chassis and platform, Montefeltro's do have a larger magazine capacity.
  5. You have a out of spec Carrier Latch/Drop Shell lever issue. The drop shell lever is not functioning normally when it releasing the carrier latch. Additionally your trigger pack appearsd to be overmolded at the Carrier contact point. This causes the carrier not to function freely. I see your buiild date is 22, This should go back to Benelli for a warranty claim unless you have a Benelli expert to assist.
  6. The only downside to the BEST finish is perhaps the Carbon Fiber rib. If you are hard on your gun or bang it around in a boat, this may not be the best option. I own Cerakote guns, BEST guns and Camo guns, for me the Camo gun offers the most protection. Admittingly I do not hunt around salt water, thus it is not a factor. The fully wrap guns offer great protection, if you do get a scratch it is often difficult to see.
  7. Could certainly help you with this. Your trigger gaurd is slightly out of tolerance which is causing the Carrier to bind ever so slightly. A gently/very lightly sanding in the correc t location your ethoc will be good to go. Please let me know if I can help.
  8. The Carbon Fiber rib on SBE 3's, (Some Models), Ethos Chassis, Prevoius generation Ultralight can be loose, there are pins that hold the rib to the gun and a set screw near the choke tube which sets it in place. No worries, this is normal. The rib is not going to fall off, just the nature of attaching Carbon Fiber ribs to a metal barrel. The Carbon Fiber rib is replaceable.
  9. The SuperSport Performance shop chokes would be a great alternative, these are made by Briley. Not 100% sure but the choke tub es in the image could be by Briley as well.
  10. The reciever size is much smaller on a 20 gauge.
  11. Taran Tactical is pretty well documented on this forum.
  12. The SBE 2 & 3 bolt handle will fit the newest version of the M2. (SOME) companies bolt handles are lilled incorrectly and will travel right past the dent, this creates rubing on one or both sides of the reciever. Whenever I encounter "The Benelli that does not cycle shells" first place I look is aftermarket parts. Briley & Rob Raberts generally does a very good job with these type of parts.
  13. The two piece Carrier Latch which is installed in the redesigned M2 is a hinged two piece Carrier Latch very similar to the Two Piece Carrier Latch installed in all Ethos Platform as well as SBE 3 Series Gun. I own all of these models. That part looks like the following image: https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/60929 The redesigned two piece Carrier Latch which is in the SBE 3, Ethos platform as well as the redesigned M2 will not fit in the previous version of the M2. Steve made a great point about the riveted style two piece Carrier Latch. This part is very different in design to current.
  14. They have made two piece carrier latches for some time in the SBE 3 & Ethos platform. No M2 Comfort Tech (Older Verion) had a two piece carrier latch, thus the new two piece Carrier Latch similar to the Ethos platform as well as the SBE 3, is not made for pre 2023 M2. It appears you answerd your own question when you said, "2 piece carrier latch for my wife’s 20ga M2 and went to install it today and it isn’t working."
  15. This is great example of working with a reputable dealer, in store. You would have the opportunity to look at the gun, maybe even choose which one you like for wood preferences. I would give Buds a opportunity to take the gun back and send you a new one. Let them take care a possible warranty claim. A good dealer has customer satisfaction paramount. Satisfied customer return for future business. This is how a dealer stays relevant in the marketplace.
  16. More than likely the New Carrier Latch style, 2 piece was not designed for the previous generation of M2's. The 20 gauge would have already had the 2 piece carrier latch if it was the newest rendition on the M2 released last year.
  17. Yes, the SBE 3 bolt handle will fit in you new M2 as well.
  18. Left handed 828U's are still available as well. There is new Old Style M2's & Montefeltro's still available as well. The 26" Left Handed Black SBE 3 has been discontinued.
  19. Very similar
  20. The only change in the left handed lineup is the missing M2 and Montefeltro which will be coming in the future, this is because of the restyling and updates to both models. In the future you MAY see a Ethos in left handed version as well. In general the left handed shotgun market is a growing segement. Franchi has a left handed Affinity 3 in 12 gauge and 20 gauge. The edition of camo version set to release this year was pushed back.
  21. The incut reciever is a great adition to the M2 as well as the new style Montefeltro. Loading becomes much easier with that feature as well as the new two piece carrier latch which makes sliding shells acreoss the carrier latch with much less resistance.
  22. Steve, I have not seen a stiff safety on a 828, new gun for a very lomg time. Benelli has a 10 year warranty on all firearms, they will refit 828U safety art no charge. I do have intructions on how to complete this as well. Most of your comments are way over the top and show the lack of understanding on your part. Perhaps the one of the benefits of the forum is to educate. Functionality of the safety as well as the the Top Lever is quite often misunderstood on the 828. Both were designed to slide with the design lines of the gun. Quite often shooters are applying downward pressure on both the safety and the top lever. When this occurs functionality of both components becomes resistant.
  23. How old is the M2? Just a guess: this will not be covered under warranty. Call Benelli customer service and ask.
  24. The Benelli Vinci uses Crion Choke tube pattern. Midwest Gun Works would be one of many sources. All Benelli small parts as well as most Beretta small parts come from Midewst Gun Works.
  25. Let us know if you may need instructions on how to replave your extractor.
