It is disappointing that Benelli let this gun out like that, but they will fix the problems. They sent me the right choke wrench that should have come with the gun. It's the wrench that came with the original SBE, they should have remade the wrench as the thread reamer will not work on the extended threads but it will change the chokes. Benelli will fix the safety if you e-mail them they have an adrees to send the trigger group to and the fix is a good one. They took about 4 days to get mine back to me.

I sent mine off on a Monday and got it back the next Friday. A big improvment.

Try sure-cycle's terror tubes. I have the .655 and the .675. The .655 shoots as good a turkey pattern as I have ever seen.

oops 2 in the magazine 1 in the chamber.
-
with the plug it will hold 2 in the chamber and 1 in the chamber.

I e-mailed benelli about the Mag Ext. for a SBE fitting the SBE II their response was that it would fit.

I hunt exclusively in flooded timber in Arkansas. The last several years I feel like I've found the best sling. AA&E Neoprene sling. It has a little give and makes it very comfortable. I bought one for my Xtrema in timber to match the camo at Academy for about $15.00. Couldn't find one for my SBE II and had to special order, came with the swivel and it was $30.00 but worth every penny.

Sorry to hear of your trouble. I sent mine in on a Monday and got it back the next Friday. I thought that was very fast.

I e-mailed Benelli with the same question. They replied that the extension for the SBE/M1 would fit the SBEII/M2.

On one of my old SBE's the ejector broke twice. Your gun is doing the same thing mine would with the broke ejoector. Benelli said they had some bad heat treating on the ejector and had fixed the problem. You might check that.

How is the recoil pad removed on the neww SBE II? Do they just pull off?
-
How about letting us know what the new wrench looks like.

Here's a reply about the safety I recieved from Benelli today.Happy to hear from them. Good afternoon Ben, Our product manager is aware of this and has been dealing directly with Italy for resolution/information. We hope to have an answer from him within the next two-three weeks regarding this issue. We do apologize for the delay of any final affirmation, but thank you for your patience. Sincerely, Customer Service

I've got a call into a gunsmith about this. If he doesn't want an arm and a leg I'll have this fixed in a few days.

Can't edit post on this forum . I think SBE II and Xtrema chokes are the same. SRM says they are. May not get the same patterns because of bore, but they will interchange.
-
This is why I replied to a couple other of your post about the diameter of the barrel end of the chokes.
-
Meant to add in the last post I e-mailed Benelli a few days ago on the same subject. Still havn't received a reply.

Montefeltro; Come on man lets have a reply on this. I bought the 1st SBE that came to Hunts, Al in about '91. I'd like to think Benelli has a good customer service.

Drundel; Don't think you got what I was saying. I was asking about the same question as your thread about where the choke tube fits the barrel. The way SRM described things there maybe a notch or gap. Like I said he likened it to a funnel.
-
Drundel; did you by any chance have one of your chokes for the SBE II miced. I don't what to start anything on this forum but Jeff at SRM says the chokes will interchange. His likened it to a funnel both chokes from SBE II and the Xtrema would interchange. that makes me wonder what the bore of the choke at the barrel end of the SBE II choke is??

I patterned the SBE II with a terror .655. The pattern was better (tighter) than any other gun I have seen patterned without barrel work. This gun from that pattern needs no barrel work. My last SBE was terrible until I sent it off for work.
