He definitely built that, or had someone build it for him. LMT crane stock, tangodown battlegrip and foregrip, aimpoint with forward cantilever mount, KNS non rotating trigger pins, and what appears to be a larue 7 inch rail and an AAC ranger can. I'm guessing around 2100 into it thus far. Add about $12,000 to that figure. It's a registered M16 lower. I assembled all the goodies on it myself, as I'm a certified AR-15/M16 armorer. You've got a good eye, as the only thing you failed to identify is the suppressor -- it's an SRT Hurricane. I also have no military or LE experience. I'm just a gun nut like the rest of you guys. New York only allows AOW's and large-bore destructive devices. A short-barrel shotgun with a pistol grip is considered an AOW, so at least you can own one of those if you choose.

Short barrel shotguns are the only thing that my state (Indiana) doesn't allow. It's pretty bad that I can own machineguns, silencers, short barrel rifles, etc., but not one of those. I'm hoping to get that law changed very soon. Congratulations on yours. Have fun with it!

You mean I can't hunt with these from my collection?

Yeah, I saw your upgrade in another thread. It came from a .45ACP, didn't it? It's probably a definite improvement over the little bitty factory one. I've given some thought to the GG&G version. As far as upgrades go, I've approached a few companies about various improvements I'd like to see made in the M1014/M4 shotgun. I'd like to see a full mag tube like the military's version be made for civilians. It can't be that hard. It looks like the existing tube just threads into the front of the receiver, and all that would be needed is for a single tube to be made that is the same length as the tube now with the +2 mag extension installed. I for one would lay down the cash for such an item. I'd also like to see someone make replacement gas pistons, and perhaps a couple of the firecontrol parts (trigger, sear, etc.) These parts combined with a couple more US-made parts would definitely be a loophole to avoid 922® for those few of us that worry about it. M1014, yeah I'll miss the ol' American flag on the side of the receiver, but I'm sure that in a few weeks I'll be able to sleep again.
-
No, I bought it from an online dealer and had it shipped to my local dealer. Albro's does have one for $1600, but that translates to $1700 after sales tax. It was a lot cheaper to buy one on the intenet and pay the transfer fee. I've got $1528 in everything you see pictured.

I bought the only two my local dealer had for $70 each, then sold one of them.
-
I sold my M1014 a couple of weeks ago and immediately regretted it, so I picked up this 11707 yesterday. Now to find a way to legally add these accessories. [ 04-22-2006, 09:35 AM: Message edited by: M4Madness ]

Thanks for the photo!

$2.78 today in Indiana.

I'd love to see a photo of that shorty with the stock collapsed!

I am also interested in whether or not 14" barrels are available for the Benelli M4. Right now, my state (Indiana) allows all NFA items except short-barrel shotguns, but I'm working with legislators to get that changed. I'd love to change my Benelli M4 into a shorty.

Buzz!!! Wrong answer. The BATF has no right to come into your home and inspect your NFA items without a search warrant. From Bardwell: As to one who is neither a FFL nor SOT, but only owns weapons regulated under the National Firearms Act, ATF may only compel you to show an agent upon request the registration paperwork, that is the Form 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or whatever else might have been used to register the weapon. See 26 U.S.C. sec. 5841(e). They do not have any right to compel you to produce the weapon. As always the Fourth amendment applies, and ATF may not enter your home or other place of storage of the NFA weapon, nor seize the weapon, without a warrant, or without falling under an exception the Supreme Court has created to the operation of the Fourth amendment, or without your consent. http://www.titleii.com/BardwellOLD/nfa_faq.txt That said, I own 4 suppressors and an M16, and have never had a visit from the BATF. Benelli M4 Collapsible Stocks
-
Why is that? Also, you guys (Mesa Tactical) need to start making some 922® compliance parts for the M4 so that we don't have to worry about this BS anymore.
-
I'd read a rumor somewhere on this forum about the new Benelli M4's not being physically able to accept the mag extensions anymore. Well, I saw a photo on Impact Guns, and it sure as heck looks like the rumors about them not fitting were correct. What do you guys think? NEW OLD Note the location of the band on the underside of the barrel in relation to the front sight on both models. [ 04-09-2006, 06:01 PM: Message edited by: M4Madness ]
