  1. I would like to go to the store, but Cabela's is a long way from Arkansas. I probably order over the internet. Thanks for the advice..
  2. The boots are cracking on my 4 year old waders. It's time to get a new pair. I mostly hunt flooded fields and timber. Any recommendations. Cabellas appear to have a good product. THANKS Bkirsch
  3. I have a LH 26 inch SBII. After reading the posts in this forum, I believe that the 26 inch is the best all around barrel length. I don't know about the re-threading...I would take it to a good gunsmith.
  4. I used Winchester Supremes #4 for duck hunting and did not have any problems....
  5. Arkansas season opens this weekend... lack of water could be a problem... We are working on our blinds... Hope we have a good opening...
  6. Yes, a great story... that's why I bought a new Benelli... Waiting on the Arkansas duck season...opening his weekend... hope we have water..
  7. Tuck, I agree....I grew up hunting cottontails with a 410.
  8. Our duck season opens on November 19th... hope to be posting shortly.... Also hope everything goes well for Tucker!!!
  9. What happened to our moderators... I have not seen a post from them in a while.....?????
  10. I just got a new SBE2. So far, I have not had that problem..
  11. In 20 years, It probably would break my shoulder. Too bad, we do not have an Amercian Company that can match Benelli.
  12. I thought I would get a response... I agree... SO the X2 which is hundreds of dollars cheaper and much faster than the SBE2 is the equivalent of a SBE2. Interesting....
  13. I did not receive a response. I did some break-in with the Turkeys loads with full choke. I did not seem to have any problems. One item I did find was... the supposed recoil system does not work on these type of loads. I had my new SBEII and my buddy had his new Super X2. We shot the same loads through both guns and experienced the same recoil on our black & blue shoulders...
  14. I have purchased several boxes of Winchester Supreme 3.5 inch #6 Turkey loads. I have not purchased any aftermarket chokes. I am going to break-in my new LH SBEII 26-inch this weekend and will use these rounds. Is there any problem with using the Benelli's full choke with these rounds. I found that the shot is a copper-coated lead. Benelli's literature states the choke is not approved for steel. I was wondering about the copper-coated lead shot..
  15. Tucker, Thanks for the information. I guess I will order a pair off ebay...I am going to deer camp this weekend and will fire a couple boxes of 3.5 inch Winchester Supreme #6's for break-in..... but not at deer... will use my omega..

    SBE II Finish

JEB, I heard that you could take your SBE to Gander Mountain and they could redo the camo finish...
  17. Sorry, I mean a plug installed...
  18. Tucker, I loaded 3 inch shells and found that I could only get 2 in the magazine. As you have indicated, there is a choke installed. In Arkansas our season opens on November 19th... We normally shoot over decoys. Let me know how they perform... THANKS
  19. Thanks Tuck, I just put it together and I have not loaded any shells.... Will check.... Did you buy the Primos SBEII chokes for duck hunting?
  20. I just received my Camo 26 inch LH SBEII. In reading the manual - loading. The manual indicates that the magazine can hold 3 - 3-inch or 3- 2 3/4 inch rounds. With one in the chamber that is 4 rounds. For duck hunting, I normally use 3 inch rounds and we are limited to 3 rounds. ------ Is there a plug that can be installed to limit the number of rounds to 3? I know that I will be checked sometime this upcoming season.
  21. Tuck, Thanks... will order..
  22. Thanks for the phone number... On a SBE II break-in, can I use my winchester supremes for break-in?
