  1. The only problem I see with taking it to your gunsmith buddy, is if he isn't Benelli authorized, you probably just voided your warranty, and lost any chance at getting a replacement gun. Good luck with it though, I have two Nova's myself and like them, but now They are sitting in the safe waiting for to be loaned out to buddies, because the SBE II is getting all the attention.
  2. I am discusted by this thread, I will take my Nova's followed by my BPS over an 870 anyday, heck I would rather have a Mossberg than an 870. One thing to consider, most the guys posting up about the 870 are talking about older 870's when Remington gave two cents about quality. When it comes to shotguns their is no need to leave the 3 B's. Benelli, Browning, Beretta. Tucker, you should be ashamed [ 01-23-2006, 10:25 PM: Message edited by: Max4Gooser ]
  3. I am looking at the Pattern Master tubes for my Nova, heard great things about them and the Brileys.
  4. You should consider a Foiles Migrators Strait Meat Mallard or Timber Rattler. Either call would work the SMM is louder, but both would work well for you. Plus Foiles has the best warranty, customer service and calls in the business. Max4

    nova

No problem with my nova and 3.5" 1550 fps steel. They are definately the best pump guns available. Max4
  7. I had the same problem, started e-mailing the webmaster every few days, finally got a response and was in. It is a good forum so keep trying. Jeff
  8. I have two of the nova's now, guess I will have to make it 3 when the "Super Nova" hits the market. Wonder how big of an increase will be on the Price tag. Jeff
  9. I have talked to the dealer, and he said he was going to call Benelli and find out what is going on. He claims that he ordered it from benelli. I also found a sight that sells the Barrels and the model number for the new Benelli Cantilever Barrel is 81055, and that is the number on the box, makes you wonder if some one played the old switch a roo. I didn't use a credit card, traded my .44 magnum for it at a gun show, good news is the dealer who is from 130 miles away is actually from my home town, my father went to school with him, and I am related to half the town, so I won't have any trounle getting a hold of him
  10. I am waiting for him to call me back. The action doesn't properly mate up to thebarrel. I am not pleased.
  11. i bought a second 12 Guage Nova Today, this one in black with 26" barrel, my other is the same but Max-4. I also got a cantilever Slug Barrel. I bought it from a Benelli Dealer, and he said it was a genuine Benelli Slug Barrel. I question this due to the fact that the name benelli is no where on it. All that is stamped or engraved on the barrel is 12 Ga. 3 inch Made in USA. The box just says Nova 24" Cantilever Rifled Slug Barrel on a little white sticker. My two 26 inch barrels have all kinds of things written on them including Benelli, and Made in Italy. They also hace serial numbers. Did I get hosed? Could someone post a photo of a genuine Benelli slug barrel other than the one on the Benelli Websight. I was wondering if this is the Ithaca Barrel I have heard mention of? Thanks' Jeff
  12. I used to use T shot, and then we did a unscientific study shooting T's and 1's and found that thesmaller diameter and speed was better than the larger heavier T's. We had less crippled birds to chase down with the ones than the T's also. I now use BB's as my primary load, and still shoot ones out of our lay out boat. Just my opinion.
  13. Never seen anything but 3.5" 10 guage never seen one in 3" I also use a 10 guage when the geese are not anting to commit, wish benelli made a 10.
  14. 3 1/2" Steel BB ismy primary goose load, it will be plenty perfect for geese.
  15. Foiles Migrators SMM and Timber Rattler.
