  5. I think I would turn red too!!! LOL
  6. Story is the gun is Thompson/Center Encore chambered in .600 Nitro. Made by a custom gunmaker as a one-off show piece. The guy in the video kept bugging him to shoot it, so he let him. The .600 Nitro has over 9 times the recoil of a .30-'06. This was a big boy shooting this. Looks like he got a smack in the head to boot - which is pretty much what he deserves for trying to shoot that thing. May have been funnier if he actually did it one handed like he started off! Recoil video shot!!! [ 03-14-2006, 06:25 PM: Message edited by: Russ F. ]
  7. I have a SBEII camfortec and for a $150.00 bought the steadygrip stock afterwards. In some states , like New Jersey, the steady grips are not legal.
  8. I agree with the synthetic, and if you want, for $150.00 more (at a later date) you can get the steadygrip kits.

  12. The profile of the butt plate vary different. I'm working on a stock extension for my steady grip and my confortech shock. Being 6 foot 10 inches, I need at least a stock length of 15-1/2 inches. I have my own CNC job shop, so I have a great CAD-CAM system and all the equipment to do the job.
  13. oh, the gun worked great but the cool harden rubber and 1500 fps shot shells made the gun kick like a mule. I know I can add some anti-recoil stuff to the gun to help with that problem.
  14. Yes, The Comfortech in my case was not so good due too 4 degree wheather I was hunting in. The rubber inlays that make it work got as hard as a rock. And the gun kicked like a mule. Not to says that it's not worth it, but with all the hipe, I thought it would be better than it is.
  15. I don't own one, make sure you download that file onto your PC, for future uses. again your welcome.
  16. As the libs would says " Cheney didn't shoot the man, the gun did!"
  17. sometimes when your looking staight on, at the end of a threaded tube, it can look that way. This is because the thread major (high point) and minnor diameter(low point) are showing at the end of the choke. They are 180 form each other, thus making an offset look to the tube. The only real way to tell of the chokes bore the concentric with the chokes outside diameter is to measure the wall thickness with the proper micrometer. Perferably a "ball mic" If you can see that the choke is not center of the barrels bore by looking into the chamber end , DO NOT USES THAT CHOKE.

  19. If it's anything like the triangle shaped safty buttons on the new SBEII's . You can keep it. I like the larger button surface, BUT, When wearing cold weather gloves, sometimes the gloove matrial get caught behind the flange of the button when I push the safty off.
