Best configuration for a rifled slug barrell would have been the # 20008 COMBO it comes with the field barrel and slug barrell probably the cheapest way to get both also. Benelli slug barrel is $$$ when purchased on its own?

http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/contact.tpl some times the are not in a hurry to answer but lately it has not been to bad!
-
what model # did ya get? and aftermarket chokes would be first choice probably! recoil reducer maybe ? cleaning supplies if first shotgun?
-
If you are having problems with this task ya need to take to a gunsmith!! you can bend the housing the benelli sight is enclosed in if ya are not careful and it simply turns left to loosen and rt to tighten but getting it broken loose ya can ruin it which is what i did but i found it useless to start with and did not plan on reusing it so it hit the trash can where it belonged! went with the HIVIZ! only about 15.00 if ya mess it up and want a replacement http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=6500&title=SIGHT%2c+FRONT&s=15630#15630

Benelli does not reccomend it thru an IM tube, that's why everyone goes to aftermarket tubes that can shoot the hybrid shot! read manual no steel & no Hevi in an IM whats to not understand?

http://www.hallowellco.com/proof_date_codes.htm, on the side of reciever their is a small box with 2 letters iniside the box on rt handed guns it's on lt side just in front of trigger gurad, match it with this list under italian shotgun column, or go here http://www.berettausa.com/customer/support.html

So which Gun Manufactures allow their dealers to do warranty work, or replace from their stock? I strongly feel you will have a hard time finding any that do and Benelli is like all the rest ya gotta take to dealer in original container and they ship it back to the Manufacturer for all and any warranty work. Once you take the purchase slip it is YOURS! unfortunate that Customer Service has not taken care of you or the original poster and i am sure he is not happy with you hijacking his thread with your tireless rant.

model # 6892 for 70 bucks will give you both, for decoy and pass shooting. 1-800-523-2395 they can verify any questions ya have! good people! or you can buy seperate but, they will let you shoot any kinda shot thru their chokes which you can't do with benelli chokes. i do not use steel shot so can't answer the last part of your question, unless they quit making hevi-shot or Winchester Extended range

primos tubes hunting mostly, i would use supplied chokes for range shooting!
-
couple threads http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/search.php?searchid=96760 they all shoot different in every gun so homework is involved but my home work sent me to www.primos.com http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/search.php?searchid=96765

http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=8005&title=RIFLED+CHOKE+TUBE never used one but read an article about certain slugs that did not do well with rifled chokes? i am sure there are others that have no issues!

my soulution is free no charge? rant all ya want, i would too if i had a POS!! that not being the case and the chances benelli scans this sight for customer satisfaction would probably be a stretch? for me 3rd time would be the charm and i could fill a Lawers pockets like you but since the Attorney General's are elected and will do this for free i would see what they could do? sounds like benelli is doing something but it seems they are slow in doing it, not surprising to me but feel they will make it all good sooner than later? frustrating process and hope all turns out ok with a quality stock that will not crack? they claim they use quality wood and why they can't get one not to crack is surprising!
-
You could file a consumer complaint with the Attorney General for your state, not that hard of a process. Could find that ya might get results and the forms are easy to fill out and they will act as legal council for you!

Seems to be your loss and i think someone was blowing smoke at your gun dealer, able ammo told me that a lotta of the field guns were on B/O but they said the SBEII's were available on line at their site and at Benelli! sounds like the gun dealer could have given you a high trade in quote and figures he might loose his lunch breaks for a month? My take on a SBEII for a range gun is not a wise choice and i am just partial to O/U for range shooting. My range will not allow more than 2 rounds in shotgun at a time for crossing doubles which i have issues with after 5 or 10 boxes, called carrpel tunnel!! on trap range they only allow 1 round in any gun at any time? To me the SBE II is a 28" meat smoker/tenderizer!! it works ok on range but not for me!!

these guys make a quality product and i have had no issues with the one i use! good selection and the stock sight was too small for me and wrong color in contrast with the black rib, the green one really works nice for me! http://www.hivizsights.com/Shotgun-Sights-C1.aspx i think the 6-48 thread is the one ya need? http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=4182&title=HIGH+VISIBILITY+SHOTGUN+BEADS this is the original Benelli sight for the nova http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=6500&title=SIGHT%2c+FRONT&s=15630#15630 per brownells

Some like this type and i use one similar but different manufacturer and i can see this front sight, the other was way too small for my poor eyes! http://www.tomknapp.net/store/product.php?productid=13&cat=0&page=1&featured
-
welcome and you seem to have done your homework would throw in cleaning and lube prior to break-in with quality lubes!! enjoy! throw the heaviest round ya plan to throw thru it or can handle and you will be GTG!!
-
which shim is installed and have you patterned it on a board?
-
pictures could bolster sales?
-
http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/pdfs/M1.pdf page 38 explains unloading and sounds you are trying to rack them out, they explain how they want ya to do it! chance of shell going off racking them thru i guess is why they say unload it the way the manual says?? Troubleshooting tree claims ya might need to put some extra lube where bolt hits the cup in the back of the reciever?? probably not an issue here but try!
-
If it aint broke why fix it? Benelli claims their springs are good up to and past 350,00 rounds so i think you can spend 15$$ or just buy some adult beverage and be better off!

not that easy, http://www.briley.com/articles/what_chokes.html lotta resources on chokes and they are unique with every application/gun!
