  1. Does anybody know if the Kick-off system is available for the Extrema 1 ?
  2. Please forgive my ignorance but I need a clarification. Are the Beretta Extrema and the Beretta Extrema 2, two seperate weapons ? Or are some people just leaving off the 2 ?
  3. That's a fact Jack ! Aaaaarrrmy training Sir ! Too funny.....
  4. Mudhen, if you know Sgt Hulka, what kind of training were you doin son ????
  5. I see that a guy has an Benelli M1 for sale and I was wondering if one of you educated Benelli officiando's, can tell me if this barrel would work on my SBE II ? It looks as though it may, but I don't want to chance it w/o checking here first before I buy it.

    SBE2 SLUG BARREL

Where did you find a slug barrel ? I tried Customer Service and they could not give me a time frame on their new barrels being distributed. I'm looking for a fully rifled slug barrel in Adv. Timber.....Anybody please !
  7. I'd have to agree with HDRGKG. Been an officer for 29years. The only thing I don't want to see is a shortened barrel or stock below the legal limit or a full auto. That other stuff about installing American made parts is a bunch of political BS. Most street cops wouldn't know the difference, much less how to ID a non US made part.

    Benelli SBE 2

Do either of you have a line on slug barrels ? I want one for next deer season. I have heard that I may need to purchase a different handguard as well. What is that all about ?

    Benelli SBE 2

For me, the 2006 Ohio Deer season is drawing to a close. While here in my hometown, I got an offer I could not refuse. I Just purchased my second Benelli. I got the SBE 2 in a 26" advantage timber model. Took one shot with a 12ga Remington slugger and realized that it was the best money I ever spent. I felt like I was shooting a trap load. Benelli is definitely the Rolex of shotguns. A bit pricey, but money well spent.
  10. Just in from the range. I tested three different slugs using my Remington 1100 20Ga with fully rifled barrel. Remington 1oz BuckHammers, Remington Copper Solids and Remington Core Lokt Bonded Sabot. If you would like to see the grouping on a Shoot-N-See target send me an email request at [email protected]. The shots were all fired from a benchrest at 50yds. File was too big for this site. If you have a shotgun with a fully rifled barrel you're gonna want to see this. I'm very impressed with the Buckhammer 1 oz slugs.
  11. Stock was a breeze to install and it is super nice. I also added a two shot extension for some feel good rounds. Not quite an Army of One, but it'll keep their attention for a while huh ? Good to hear from you too. Don't forget to drop me an email or a phone call if ya get around my LZ. Keep your head down. Gregg
  12. Liberty or death, The best way to tell with your particular gun is to buy several different brands. Personally, I have tried Remington Sluggers, Federal Truball, and Winchester SupX. By far the most accurate I found in my smoothbore 20Ga 1100 was the Federal Powershok and the Remington Sluggers. Gonna be testing some Rem. Buckhammers from a fully rifled barrel this week. I'll post the results.
  13. Where did you find the 26" ribbed barrel ? I want one to go with your old stock !
  14. Paul Vincent, I hope you are kidding about not cleaning your gun in a couple of years. If that is an accurate statement, you need a checkup from the neckup. Why would you deliberately mistreat a quality weapon in that manner ? I guarantee you this, you wouldn't be huntin in my group......
  15. Does anybody know where I can find an M3 field barrel ? I'd like to have a 26" or 28" field barrel with the choke system. I saw one from Gunparts.com but they want almost $500.00 for the thing. They also can't tell me if the field barrel will fit/work on my Benelli Super 90 M3. They said I should call Benelli and ask them cause they didn't know. They want me to pay almost $500.00 for a field barrel and that is all the help they could provide...Call Benelli. I have tried ebay, gunbroker and auction arms...no dice.

    home defense

Mark, I agree in practice with a lot of what has been written here regarding the use of a shot gun for home defense. That being said, I won't go into a big diatribe explaining this post. If you and the wife feel comfortable with a shotgun, then go for it. That is what you should use. Now as far as the pistol recommendations that were made, I strongly disagree. No handgun novice or poor shooter of a handgun, should pick or be recommended a semi-automatic as a choice for self defense. I think I can speak from experience in this arena since I have been carrying one on my job for the last 30 years. I am also a NRA Firearms instructor and a department Range officer for the last 25 years. I have also worked part time in several gun shops over my 53 years. There are a truckload of good name brand gunmakers out there who make excellent wheel guns that are virtually point and shoot. Why put your life or that of someone else in danger with a pistol such as a Glock. First off, they have absolutley no visual feedback. Don't get me wrong, Glocks are great guns. I carry one on duty and off-duty. I practice all the time, I respectfully touch it every day putting it in and out of the holster. I am FAMILIAR with this gun. Get the picture ? If a handgun is your choice, go with a good quality revolver that both you and the wife can handle and be comfortable with.
  17. In order, adding the surefire depends where you want it to go. If you want it underneath, just get a mag tube clamp and there ya go. You will have to add a base for the Holo sight. I believe the recommended one is the # 93. Don't know for sure about the stock and rail.
  18. Buck, I just purchase a Benelli M3 with a PG stock. I'm probably gonna go out and shoot it tomorrow for the first time. I'll send you a review. I have been reading a lot of negative stuff lately about the Benelli's, in particular, the SBE and SBEII models. That many complaints from so many different people concerns me. I was looking real hard at them for a second shotgun purchase but I am reluctant to spen that kind of money on something that has problems in the rain.......On the other hand, I have seen nothing but positive stuff on the Beretta 391 Extrema 2. I don't really need the 3.5" power but hey, at their price range , why not and it appears to be relatively problem free, less felt recoil and in my price range.
  19. How about it Tucker ? What do you think of the recoil reduction system(s) ?
  20. What is the story with this recoil reduction system I keep hearing about ? Does anyone know if the make this system for the remington 1100 12 ga ? What about a general idea of what it would cost for an M3 ? Does it just slide into the butt stock ?
  21. I'm a little confused Wingbone. If I understand you post correctly the recoil system on the M1 & M2 are different than the M3 & M4 ? I thought they were all the same ? "I'm not sayin anything bad about the SBII at all by no means but the gas operated Benelli is a joy to shoot recoil wise compared to the SBII"
  22. I have been looking at the M1, M2 and SBEIIs with the slug setup. I've hunted with both smooth bore and rifled slug barrels. It can really be a toss up. Ya gotta match up the right barrel with the right ammo without a doubt. I've heard the SBE and the SBE II kick considerably less than the other so I'll probably continue to look that way. Unfortunately, I tore a Rotator Cuff last hurricane season and still on the mend. I gotta get ready, Ohio deer season is upon us end of this month.
  23. Wingbone, What setup do you have on the M4 ? Barrel type and length.
  24. I see. Thanks for the explanation. I just posted another note looking for a suggestion on a Benelli Slug gun. Are you a slug gun hunter ? Any opinion ? I'm an autoloader fan and prefer something that doesn't jar my teeth lose when I shoot it.
  25. Clarification. I'm looking for a Slug gun,not slugs
