  1. Is it just me, but is that all you do is try to talk trash and instigate issues? Were all here for the same reason, for the love of guns and the shooting sports, to share knowledge and expand our minds and acquire new information. But all I've seen you do is put people down and talk trash about everyone else opinions and thoughts...

Don't worry about good (old) Duggan. He is just mad because this parents put parental controls on his TV and computer and he can't look at same sex porn sites anymore.

  2. No. I don't think it's worth the extra money. Novas can shoot 3 1/2 shells too, doesn't have the comfortech stock and doesn't have the bigger trigger well. That's it.

I have owned both and sold my super.

  3. ^^ Good point… That’s the advantage of a two barrel gun. You have a tighter choke for your second (and presumably longer) shot.

With an autoloader (e.g., my Montefeltro), I was considering improved-modified as a good compromise between a potentially closer shot (inside 30 yards) and the more common long shots you get late-season. I do like having that extra (third) cartridge for longer range shots. Bagging long range pheasants (>40 yards) seems to require multiple hits.

    You could do oz 1/4 5 shot, oz 1/4 4 shot, and a 3 inch 4 shot

When I hunt with my nova I use a modified choke with 2 oz 1/4 5 shot and 1 3 1/2 turkey 5 shot. The turkey load is mostly only if I see a yote that I want it get rid of.

  4. Speak for yourself.

I'd prefer to have a responsible and ethical individual doing my talking for me.

Extremism cuts both ways and does little to no good in the whole scheme of things.

It's funny you say this being your an Obama fan.

  5. Ive also read something about more accuracy, but I dont know if I believe that. After seeing what my SBE2 can do accuracy wise, I just dont believe anything short of a rifle could be any more accurate.

Maybe true. But that will also depend on which slug/shotgun combo you would be using.

  6. For deer hunting the 20 gauge seems to be more popular, at least around these parts thats what I have noticed. My question is why? What about the 20 would people prefer over a 12 for a white tail?

Here about 70% of the people shoot 12 gauge, 15% 20 gauge, 10% black powder, and 5% handgun.

Other than recoil, I don't see an an advantage over 12 gauge.

  7. I probably should have been more clear. I know my guns will cycle light loads, and I know I can kill Pheasant with light loads. The question is, will my Benelli's cycle 2-1/2" light loads? I've never shot anything bu 2-3/4" shells.
