  1. WRONG! We will never own one with the exact same serial number as M1014. This is likely a limited edition 1 of 250 breaching gun set. That box is probably fine hardwood with the Benelli logo lovingly affixed with the finest French Papier-mâché! I'm sure when he flips it over you will see the fine engraving of dead terrorists resplendent on a field of more dead terrorists (and possibly a duck in flight...Predator Drone more likely). The steel for this gun was created from the first Benelli motorcycle which was removed from the Italian National Archives and melted down just for this limited edition. The gun itself was presented to M1014 by Tonino "the terrible" Benelli the famous motorcycle racer who was exhumed and cloned especially for the presentation ceremony.

YOU MERE MORTALS WILL NEVER OWN A GUN LIKE THIS!!!!

That's some funny stuff right there.

  2. Probably a stupid question, but go ahead... call me stupid.

Just wondering, It seems that everyone seems to have the same issue with their Benelli's shooting high left. Is there a reason that Benelli can't fix this? I too have had the same issue with my SBE II. Does the Vinci have the same issue? Sorry. I guess that's two questions. :D

If you know about it, aim low and to the right. ;).

The rib is tapered which is why benelli's shoot high. That's the way there made. None of my nova's shoot to the left but I've heard some do.

  3. what chokes do they come with ? are they the older style mobil chokes or the new crio chokes ?

    thanks

    Older style chokes.

    Comes with:

    improved cylinder

    modified

    full

  4. Switch to archery! It is far more fun than using a shotgun! Plus you need to be good enough to get them inside 20 yards; 10 yards is best.:)

This is why I only hunt with a spear. Its a bit hard to get your daily dove limit but turkeys, no problem.

  5. I do during dove season. I don't keep track really but I'll probably shoot over 5 flats/cases of shells during the entire season. By-the-way, the carrier latch and spring cured my problem.

You shoot over 1000 rounds during dove season? How long is your season and what's your limit per day?

  6. What does the length of pull measure? I am thinking of getting the Comfortech gel recoil pads and don't know which one I should get. I have a nova and like the size of the standard pad if that helps. Also, for measuring the barrel, if you disassemble it do you measure from the end of the barrel all the way to the end of the pieces that lock in or just to the beginning of the actual smooth barrel? I hope that isn't too confusing...Thanks for any clarification!

Length of pull is measured from the trigger to the end of the recoil pad.

Barrel length is measured when the gun is assembled. Nova's. Come in 18,24,26,and 28.

  7. I just purchased a vinci (sweet!!!!) and am looking for a choke in full....does kicks make one for the vinci? I havent seen it on the list but was wondering if the sbe2 would work???? Thanks for your help guys

Yes, SbeII chokes will work. There called benelli Crio chokes.

  8. The SNT is nice. But, if buying this for HD duty, beware of the minimal 4 shot capacity (5 if you keep one in the pipe). For HD exclusive, you may be better off with a Mossberg 590 A1 (which can be had for roughly the same amount, if you search).

I'm not knocking the SNT by any means. I have one and find it superior to almost any shotgun for the price. But, build quality aside, there are some downsides to the SNT. Just a thought.

I would sell you mine, but given that its my first shotgun ever, it holds a bit of sentimental value. Regardless, its essentially a safe queen now. The 590 has taken its place. Not that the 590 is better, mind you. Rather, its about practicality/ergonomics/parts replacement cost. Having said that, my 590 (with a tritium front bead sight) is formidable enough.

    Hey noob,

good to see you posting again.

I'm still lost on the whole ( I need 8+1, plus 6 on the side, plus 16 in the clip and 1 in the hole.).

  9. Hello all I am new to the forum (and Upland Bird hunting)and just purchased a Cordoba Max 4 12G and would like a little info in regards to chokes. The gun will be mainly used for Doves, teal and duck (Texas) with a little turkey hunting. My question is where can I get the "© Special-Purpose Crio® Chokes Matte Black" choke for this model gun for turkeys? Is there another choke brand for turkeys out there that you guys are using in your Cordoba's?

Thanks for any help or advise (o:

The special purpose chokes will be hard to find. I would look at aftermarket chokes. Carlsons, briley,Indian Creek, jellyhead are all good. Problem is no one knows which one patterns best be your gun. All the companys above will help you from what they have tested but its your job to hit the patterning board.

    Welcome to the forum

  10. Briley will make your gun just like them without the red parts they are silver or black. About $400 for 20ga and 12ga is a little more for the backboring.

It say on there web site they won't do that. You have to order direct from benelli. Did you call them and they said they would? That would be about 900 bucks cheaper to go that route.

  11. I called the gun shop and they told me I would have to deal directly with benelli for 'warrant' concerns. Yeah it seems excessive to me, especially without the bolt mining at all. Well, any pointers on dealing with benelli directly? Any idea how long might be without it? Thanks again for all the help!

The next question is, what are planning to do with the gun. If your a turkey and deer hunter you will want to get it fixed. If your shooting clays or wing shooting it's not that big of a deal. Your gun will be gone for 3-8 weeks depending on what they have going on.

Good luck and keep is posted.
