I am looking for a factory set of chokes for a M1 S90 nothing fancy just need an Improved and Modified.
Please PM me with what you have and how much you want for them.
FWIW, I know the Nova's fit this as well. I am sure someone has a set on the shelf after buying mulitple Benellis!

I am new to hunting with a shot gun and I have a stoeger m2000. I am seeing the slugs that have rifled groves on them and am wondering if those could be used with a smooth slug barrel

I use Kroil. Rem-Oil does not get very good reviews on this forum..Lots of guys use Break Free CLP, A great product as well.
+1 on the CLP. Not that nova's need alot anyway.

I bought a brand new NOVA (24", APG Camo) for the turkey season this year and I had no time to pattern it or shoot it prior to the season. I was reluctant to shoot it at the sites I was planning on hunting and whenever my hockey teammates were working days I was on nights and couldn't get to the gun club. I purchased a TRUGLO Gobble Stopper choke for it, some HEVI-13 3 1/2" #4s, factory sights and reluctantly went out on opening day. Within 25mins of legal-shooting time I had called in two hens and two jakes and my first ever turkey was down. Perfect head-shot at 23yds. Noticed absolutely no punishing recoil from the 3 1/2" shells I read so much about and could not have had a better shot.
I am so happy with this Nova. It's been about 15yrs since I shot last but my god this was a great feeling.

Yep, Clinton lake. Dewitt IL. I'm lucky to have been able to hunt there three years in a row. They only give out 7 permits per season for Clinton lake.

Hey, not that I endorse going around killing animals needlessly, but you can't really imply that they're on the same level. I'd send deer into extinction before killing an innocent person (pretending it wouldn't throw the ecosystem out of balance).
I agree 100%. I think its crazy that if you shoot an animal illegally, you will lose more rights than if you were drunk driving and killed someone. I don't know what this world is coming to.

Of course they're not on the same level, it's a ridiculous strawman argument.
Pest animals with no natural predator, whose populations grow yearly at unchecked levels are a serious problem.
Stating the obvious (that they need to be controlled), as well as my own willingness to participate in said activity should be of no surprise ... but apparently some here take issue with it.
For a gun board, there seems to be a whole lot of touchy feely animal lover types here.

I have used only two extended chokes in my Vinci...I prefer the extended modified tube when I shoot trap and on some sporting clay stations. I patterned the flush modified against the extended Carlson/Tom Knapp tube and I like the densness of the pattern from the extended tube better. My other tube I use most is my Extended skeet tube.
Also, I prefer the fact that I can change them without a choke tool.
I'm using a Tom Knapp Signature extended tube which is made by Carlson chokes. I've been trying to sell two extra Knapp tubes that were a gift-a skeet and a modified, both brand new. I have them listed on this website also.How are the carlson chokes brand new if you patterned them?

The Nova has done nothing for me over the years. Hard to pattern rattletraps, no thanks....
I've killed many animals over the years with my Nova's. I guess I don't count pellets and don't buy many chokes/shells to check my pattern. Sounds like patterning shotguns for you is as much of a hobby as to anything else. I repect that. I've reloaded for pistol for years and love the fact I can taylor my load to my needs.
Maybe one day I'll count my pellet like you.
But I figure right now, if its not broke (for me) don't fix it. -
Actually, now that I think about it, Correctional Service Canada most likely purchased their security 870's 20 years ago when Benelli wasn't an option. I'm guessing they bought approx. 1000 of them at the time. They still use the same 870's to this day which most have only seen rounds for training purposes and all still in good condition.
Thats good to know that an 870 that doesn't get used still works after 20 years.
I 've never heard of someone breaking an 870. Ever?? The new ones just don't have the feel as the old ones.

but the service goes for pricing, and 870 was a budget choice.
I paid 10 bucks less for my nova than an 870 supermag. The 870 came with 1 choke and novas come with 3. Dicks was running a special to if you bought a nova, you got a free soft case to.

Its made to keep your head down. I have one on my O/U because the gun doesn't fit me right. Other than that, there worthless.
