Any clues when or how i might be able to get my hands on a vinci pistol grip stock. i love them for turkey hunting. I cant find them anywhere.Well now that they make the Vinci with the steady grip, you should be able to get a part number and order through Benelli. But it would only come in APG HD Cammo.
And if you ordered it from benelli, you won't see it this turkey season or the next.

I'm guessing you have a tactical nova?
-
No, the gun should eject shells shot or not. If it's new like you said, take it back and see if to can get one that works.

who said this quote?? "when basic morality and legal principal give you a green light to shoot the F$%KER, its probably a good idea to shoot the F^%KER".
I think the real old lady from Golden Girls said that??

hey KITTENS!! think of it this way, as a hobby. some people collect and tinker with their star trek stuff, motorcycles old muscle cars etc. they never really use the stuff they collect due to it has no practicle use, but they like collecting it and tinkering with it. yeah yeah i know you can use a motorcycle and car too, but the high performance bike and car never get used like it should by the average owner, racers yes. just like tactical shotguns dont get used like they are designed for other than LEO etc. but we like them. and it never hurts to be tactically prepared!! especially with this JACK-A$$ administration!! you never know, MAD MAX TIME could be here sooner than you know!!
...Oh ya, Thats who you look like.

There is a state ban on magazines with a capacity in excess of 32 rounds although it does not appear to be enforced. You can buy drum mags at all the gun shows but I don't think I would pull one out at the public range.
Funny. Sounds like you can own them but not use them. Illinois has a dumb rule that we can own spring loaded knifes but we can't carry them. We can even buy them can the local Surplus store. Its illegal to take them home in your car though.

I heard that we can keep firearms in our house, without any kind of license in some states of USA. Is that true ? Can someone give me list of states where firearm laws are not tight. thanks
What do you mean by tight?
Here in Illinois you have to have FOID card. There is CCW but only where you live or if someone allows you to on there land.
Here we can own whatever, but full auto.
Here you have to be 18 to buy a long gun and 21 to own a hand gun
Here you have to wait 24 hours for a long gun and 72 hours for a handgun.
Here for hunting you can only be able to load 3 rounds in a shotgun and 10 rounds for rifle and handgun.
We are tight here, but not as tight as others.

Cylinder or Improved cylinder would be good.

Has anyone tried 30-06 "light magnum" rounds? Just wondering if these rounds are safe to use in R1...
If they are in pressure specs than they are ok.
Max pressure for 30-06 is 60,000 psi. Anything over will void any warranty.

Once I'm done with the 5's I have now, I will be switching to 6's. Like hog said, more pellets.

I should have gone into greater detail.... Looking at Kimber... Ultra Carry and Para Ord 1911's....
You have any favorites?
Buy a Taurus. Half the price. All the same crap.

Just wanted to start a thread on availability of Benelli parts/gear in Canada, Just picked my first Super Nova in Max4 and can hardly wait till the coming seasons in 2010..finding parts/gear seems to be rare to say the least. Whats with the gear store from Benelli USA main page shipping to US only???
Other than the last 5 or so guys on here that have had problems with there nova's, there hasn't been hardly any problems with the gun. Don't worry about parts. Shoot the gun, shoot it hard, and have fun.
-
Largest birdshot you have. Maxdram. 3 inch if you gun can do it. Done.
If your not worried about a neighors house, buckshot.
-
that was with a h.s. undertaker 665 with federal flightcontrol #4 shot. (3.5 inch), but that was at 30 yards, and i plan on shooting some #5 because they say it patterns better, who knows if it will pattern better than that. The wad was what made that huge hole. im sure some shot went through as well, but most of the hole was the wad! it stuck in the back of the target. the target was placed on plywood.
That away kitten, knock the turkey out with the wad, then attack!!
-
I know that but with a ported you mite lose distance am I right or wroung?
As far as distance goes, turkey loads will go out past 150 yards. That means nothing. Having the most dense pattern you can get is what your looking for. 40 yards is the magic number. Why? most turkeys are shot at that distance or less.
-
Depends on the load your using. Depends on how your gun patterns. But ported chokes don't pattern any better than non ported chokes.
-
two things you ought to know about nova ejection. You have to pull fast and hard on the fore end when pumping the gun, because the ejection is based on a spring that gives as you pull so need to pull hard and fast. Also make sure you have the ejection spring installed look at the manual, with the metal tab toward the front of the receiver. Good luck should work. If not go to brownells or egun and buy new ejector spring they are like $5 usually.
I to think it's the ejection spring causing the problem but I've never had a problem ejecting shells slowly.

HEY NUGE!! your 1st name TED?
First name uncle. Second name Ted.

I can live without the steady grip, but that Legacy is another question. Luckily, the 28 ga. is not very high on my list of usable shells, so it may buy me some time.
Yah. I've heard on this forum that you can't kill anything with birdshot or unless you have a SBEII w/ 3 1/2 zombie wackers. 28 sucks.
