I'm thinkin no. It's not a good idea.

Right now ( unless you buy tons of shot and get a good deal) you won't save any money on reloading 12 and 20 gauge. So the answer to your question is no. They do make great targets though.
-
Never heard of one. Don't know if the m2 stock fits.
-
1 1/4 oz federal max dram 5 shot. Like above.
-
Well, since you asked. My wife just bought a whole fillet that I sliced up. Cut me a big 20 ozer. It was good. I figured skeeter, I would just come to your house if I ran out of food. Is that OK?

Are you holding down the trigger when you pump it? Is it striking the primer at all?
If it's only 3 years old, why haven't you call CS? It's still under warranty.
-
Didn't Richard Simmons say that on "Sweatin' to the Oldies"?
How do you know that???

I sometimes hunt deer with the hounds around here.
We say, "If it's not barking, shoot it!"
I didn't really know how dumb Illinois's hunting laws are until I read VA's. Retarded.

So, your story tells us what we already know ... that even large "bird shot" is grossly ineffective at stopping and putting down 120 lb weak animals at relatively close ranges.
4 shots and 30+ seconds to kill an animal that wasn't trying to attack you and still managed to move 30 yards, more than the length of your shot, after being hit 3 times.
And it blows my mind that some idiots actually believe that birdshot, even #4, is an acceptable home defense round to use against 230 lb charging crackheads at 5 yards that ARE trying to kill you.
Other than that, good shoot ... you sure showed that baby deer who was boss, and got some swiss cheesed deer meat for your efforts.
A 120 pound deer is twice as strong as person twice it's size. Although you won't see a doe coming after a human, it could beat the **** out of any crackhead.
-
Not exactly a "humane" kill, but a kill none the less ... I still wouldn't do bird shot for defense or hunting unless you absolutely had to. I'd use #3-#1 buck out of my 12 gauge. (I've actually use #1 ... Not for hunting. I don't hunt.)
If your killing something in defense, does it have to be humane?
It would be hard to shoot dove with #3 buck and if you did, you would want a head shot.

I had a rem 870 and sold it. I did not like how it could jam when you short stroke it. QUOTE]
If you can't run an 870 right I wouldn't buy anymore weapons.

Yeah 2 questions actually:
1. You can legally use birdshot on a deer? (here it is slugs only so I have no dealings with legal use of shot to begin with let alone birdshot)
2. Headshot?
1.http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting/regulations/general.asp#legal-use Yep
2.What. You can't shoot a BG in the head?
-
Yep just fine.

If I am to assume that putting a Stock Benelli Mag ext. on my Nova 12g. is illegal
What if I were to install the plug that limits how many shells that the mag will accept?
In the past I have seen Stocks that won't collapse,Dummy suppressors ect. I know
it would make the mag ext. useless. I just like the looks of it. I could also install a light
using the bracket and screw.
If the mag. ext that doesn't ext. would that be legal?
Thank you in advance......
Who said it was illegal? Unless your from a City that doesn't allow it, Your ok. In some states you won't be able to hunt with it.

Can someone tell me if all I need to do is heat up the tube where it joins the receiver and give a twist, to remove the tube? Or is it more involved than that.
I want to cerakote the tube and barrel after duck season.
K
I've heard that's all you have to do to the M4 to remove the magazine tube. I can't imagine that it would be any different for the Super Nova.It is different. You will mess up your reciever.

Even 100 bucks seem high. Are these new or used? You can get a new set of carlson chokes for less. Sorry, I saw the thread earlier and didn't say anything because I didn't want to steel your thunder.

All the deer were in the corn this year. Crops are still up.(most of the time out in early Oct.) Do you blame them? They have food, water, and cover.

Here is another link http://www.choketube.com/mobilchoke.html
Skeet or cylinder will work good.
Extended or flush chokes are up to you.

"It can never happen here" ... until it does.
I'm not saying that people will need guns to fight off new era Obama brown shirt thugs coming to take everything you own, I am saying as an economist that things have the potential to continue going down ... and that normally nice, civil people have a tendency to become animals in survival mode when the **** hits the fan and they realize how underprepared they are.
It's a relatively inexpensive precaution to safeguard your life, liberty and possessions ... throughout history, masses of people without guns have been bent to the will of the people with guns.
Do as you see fit.
I don't know what your worried about. If they come to your house they will wax your parents in the next room first. So you'll have plenty of time to one man army together.

Evrything that tuck said. If your on a stricker budget than good at the Remington SPR- 310. I've had one for about 5 years now and it's held up nice.
