  1. Someone a while back said the same one fit the super nova and the SBE II. I don't know for sure but the two part numbers should be the same if they fit.
  2. Without seeing the barrel it is hard to say what it is. What some people do is get a long rod with very fine steel wool on the end, then chuck it up in a drill and try to get it that way. I would think that one would have to be very careful doing that for fear of scratching the barrel. I don't know for sure because I have never had to do it.

    Benelli Chokes

Get after market ones. There are several manufactures that make a better choke than the stock ones. (Depending on the application)
  4. The steady grip is the stock that has a pistol grip on it. Benelli was giving them away if you purchased a SBE II and some other shotguns durring such and such date.
  5. Although they are mechanical and things do break, I have friends that have the SBE I that have put several thousand rounds through there's in the harshest of conditions. It seems that the more you shoot them the better they get. Yes Hogwild, these are the guys that run them dry.
  6. I wanted to tell everyone how fast Benelli sent me my Steady grip. It took exactly 14 days from the time I put it in the mail to when the stock arrived at my house. I do live in Idaho so it did take a few days in the mail going across the country. I wish every rebate or freebie was this quick. Great job Benelli. :D
  7. Ever since I got butchered on here for saying I had friends on here that run there's dry, I have since used CLP but yet to see how it works.
  8. One way to shoot lower is to try one of those magnetic hi vis sights on the end of your barrel. Those sit a little higher than the stock bead and when you line everything up that should lower your POI a little. I done that on one of my guns and it did help.
  9. Thanks for your input. I have never herd of a Benelli "click" with the pump. I was referring to the SBE II auto loader. Thanks again.
  10. I do use breakfree on it. I have not used it since. There are a lot of Benelli mith's out there. I know several people who use nothing and it seems to work good for them. I also know some who use Hornedy case lube. The perticular time I was getting more clicks than before, I had put some STOS grease on the rails. That evidently wasn't a good idea.So I guess to each his own and I will give the oil thing a try. Thanks for the help.
  11. Hey swiney, Don't you have another forum to go to, like a Toyota one. I am sure your as well liked on that one to.
  12. I will be able to tell you more when my free one comes in the mail.
  13. You can leave the site frame on the gun but I would at least push the little fiber optic piece out. I know two people who have lost that piece already. They don't know how they were lost but looked at them and they had fallen off.
  14. I just unscrewed mine. I didn't need to heat it up.
  15. I am the proud owner of 2 SBE II's. I got the first in max 4 in January and got my 10 year old son a black one last Tuesday. The funny thing is the dealer mentioned nothing about the free steady grip. I herd about it on line and sent for it Wed. I will report the length of delivery.
  16. How about I send it to your house so you can lube it.
  17. They do make a replacement pad that screws right on. It fits perfect. I really like it. We tested with and without two guns side by side. A big difference expesualy when the weather gets colder. The stock pad turns pretty hard.
  18. If your tube is not flush there should not be a problem. Means the threads were not as deep as some.
  19. Its crazy how everyone has a different opinion on lubing a Benelli. I have friends who use nothing and have great luck with that but there guns have several thousand rounds through them. I was thinking of trying a spray silicone that dries and see if that works. I hate to use greese type lubes as they have a tendence to gum up when it gets cold and it is getting pretty chillie around here. Thanks for the help:D
  20. Hog, The shells were 2 3/4 Federal steel loads. Defiantly not a secret. All the times it done it the bolt was locked back, then a shell inserted, then the button pushed. The bolt was let to slam shut. I still wonder if the bolt is slamming so hard it is bouncing back out of battery.
  21. This is a new gun. The one I had last year is as good as it gets. For some reason this one just started to do it with these certain brand of shells. Hopefully it will get worked out and be as good as the other one old wise hog.
  22. It sometimes is hard to shoot magnum shells when they just go click. I hope with time it will smooth out. Is there a chance of it slamming to fast or hard and bouncing back un cocked?
  23. I believe it is the battery thing. I did notice when I let it slam shut pointing the gun up is when it done it. When I pointed the gun down it was fine. That tells me there is some hesitation when holding the gun up. The gun has about a box through it. I have cleaned every part on it except the spring in the stock. Could this be part of the problem?
  24. What is everyones take on why this happens. Is there a chance that a certain shell could cause it? Where do you guys lube them to stop this from happening. I was at the range the other day and mine went click with the same shell 3 times. Just looking for some impute so this does not happen again. Some photo's would be nice on where to lube.thanks all
  25. To bad there is no Dick's where I come from. I probably would not buy from them anyway. I can't say they are one of my favorite places to shop.
