  1. That's a waist of data base.
  2. Sounds like you mite be experiencing the famous Benelli click. The click can a cure when for some reason the bolt does not seat completely in the barrel. This can also happen when bolt is already seated and bump the stock on the ground. This can cause it to uncock. I hope I explained it well enough for you to understand. On a side note. I do not like to use oil at all on my Benelli. Dirt sticks to oil and therefore can cause other problems. I know several people who clean theres very good and use them dry, but they are hunting in below zero temps.
  3. Rib is sloped to make gun shoot slightly higher. Or if the barrel does not shoot straight it is used to compinsate. I hope this made sense but I can see where it could confuse someone that would ask why it was sloped.:D

    SBE2 & Nasty Kick

If the SBE II kicks you to much then put the Limbsaver pad on it and be done with it. I did not think the recoil was that bad stock but I had herd a lot of good things about the limbsaver through the trap boys. I decided to give it a whirl and now it is a sweet dream to shoot. I will not own another shotgun with out one "period".

    Oiling SBII

Boys here is what I did to mine after a tare apart to the bones cleaning and lubing. When I would pull the bolt back and forth there was a spot in that distance that would have a slight hang up. It wasn't so bad that it would not finish the cycle. I lubed the bolt rails with some STOS gun lube I use on my trap guns. Then I hand cycled the dang thing about 100 times and now it is as smooth as can be. It cycles the lightest of trap loads no problem now. Now lets talk about the Benelli click. My particular bolt had a larger than normal lip on it where the bolt is turned when it slams shut in the barrel. I cleaned that up a little and lubed where the bolt mates the barrel and the famous click is not there anymore. One thing I think would help a bunch is to take your gun apart and try and figure out and understand how everything is suppose to work. Once you get that done, some of these issues will disapear. I personally think changing the ammo is a crock of sh!t if you know what I mean. I have seen every different kind of ammo shot out of these things with no problems. I guess that's why they think they need broke in. I brake mine in at home on the bench. I did notice that mine would throw the spent shells a lot farther than my buddies and they were purchased about the same time. Got any questions, I will help as much as I can
  6. Why wouldn't any 12 gage wrench work?
  7. I have had a friend that the same thing happened to his last year. His gun is the SBE I. It was fixed and returned promptly.
  8. the sx3 is a good gun but you got the best one made. I was a little hesitant about getting the SBEII but I bit the bullet and a glad I did. They are as good as it gets.
  9. O boy, once you own a SBE II. The rest of the guns are just that, guns. I was talked into getting a SBE II. bUT, because of some things I had herd and experianced with a SBE I.(they were not good) I am very glad I got the SBE II as it is one fine gun. I have owned or shot every 3 1/2" made and it does not get any better than the SBE II. I mite add that the others are not bad either. Just not as good as the SBE II.
  10. I had a very good experience with "Janice" in customer service also. My problem was fixed without a hick up. I then e mailed her looking for a tracking # for the shipped item and she responded wright back with it. It did take me a long time to get through the line to customer service , but once I did it was taking care of very well. For me there service is top notch.

    "New" Benelli

I don't know what your getting the used one for, but to fill you in, you can find the regular black nova for around $289.00 brand new, if you look hard. Just giving you a heads up on what a new one cost so you don't get ruffed up on the used one.
  12. Let me say that on 1/31/08 I finally got to speak to a real live voice. It literally took me 10+ times to get it done, but I will have to say they were top notch. I was lucky enough to get helped by a lady the name of "Janice" who took care of my problem without a hick up. It is quite a relief knowing that you own a shotgun that the company will stand behind. Now days you never know. So if you are getting frustrated like I did with the long waits. Hang in there. Hopefully it will be well worth it. At one point I was thinking these guys on here were full of s**t telling me they had no problem getting a hold of them, but all is well and worth it.

I would bet that the most you will see change (if any) will be a different camo pattern. The SBE II has not been out that long. Besides all that. I think they have a very fine shotgun in the SBE II.

If you read my first post it will tell you nothing more than I have tried to get through to Benelli's customer service with 8 phone calls to no avail. (and yes that is bad customer service)Yes I was on hold every time for quite some time and then I thought going the e-mail rout would maybe help. Guess what, still no response. If you read another post here, that person had the same problem. As far as the honey vinegar thing I do not know where your coming from. In my first post I was not flaming no one and then Mr. d**kwild started his crap about Dr. Phil. Did he get talked to about honey and vinegar. I doubt it. So next time head to the source first. Some of you mite think he is Mr. God. I don't.

I don't know what you mean by the Dr. Phil thing. There is no reason for them not to talk to me. They do not even know my problem or question. I have not talked to anyone. I cant get through to there customer service to talk to them. Now do you get the hint Dr. Phil. Maybe when you get on the phone with them they think there talking to God and thats why you get your calls answered and your e mails replied to. As far as a no brainer during hunting season. Just maybe they need to gear up for more issues during hunting season. It would be a no brainer that they would have more gun problems during hunting season. (O by the way. Did you get the hint)

I know we are not supposed to direct any customer service things on here, but who are you to talk to if you cant talk to them. I have tried to get them through 8 phone call and 1 e-mail with no avail. come on, what kind of customer service is that. Is there someone on here who can come up with a suggestion on how to get to them. After all, a gun is only as good as there service. I would not have come to this forum other than we need some "customer service".

    Opinions on SBEII

I just got an 07 model and if the 08 has that much change to it I would simply trade my 07 in on it. If you can get a deal on a 07 I would go for it. Besides that I would not look for much change. The SBE II has not been out that long.

    Opinions on SBEII

I have had all of the 31/2" auto guns made. They are all good in there own way. I like the SBE II very much as it is very small and compact. I also like the idea of how easy it is to take apart and clean. It really does not get any easier than them to clean. The SBE II is a big thumbs up for me. The SBE I I would not own.
  21. I used to like the hi viz sights, but found on my SBE II that they were higher than the bead when installed on my gun. What it done was make the gun shoot lower than with the bead. If you could find a hi viz that that mounted the same height as the bead you would have something.
  22. I saw every different size they make hanging in a Sportsmens Wharehouse in Pocatello, Idaho.
  23. Thank you very much. Thats all I wanted here. There was just some riff raff in between your posts (if you didn't notice)
  24. I take it you already know about asking him out. D. A.
  25. Kind of wanted to here it from him. It mite be something different no it all. I like how you but into nothing of your business:rolleyes:.
