  1. As of today there are 8 more days to the big unveiling of the Vincie. After that we will know what it is and after we know what it is it will take another year to get one.
  2. I just sold one of my NIB SBE II'S for $1200 in anticipation of the Vinci. There is 2 things that will push me in another direction. #1 the cost. The SBE II is neer $1500 now and I bet the vinci is neer $2000. If it is I will buy a Win. SX3 and a Browning Maxus and have two for the price of one. #2 First year reliability issues. I am a huge Benelli fan but needless to say I am not holding my breath on the Vinci.
  3. Sometimes a different choke will take care of the problem.
  4. Use a full and really get to be a good shot.
  5. You could do yourself a better favor and purchase the Limbsaver #10401 pad. It really makes the SBE a pleasure to shoot.
  6. There was a time last year when I could not get through to the Benelli customer service people no matter how long I was put on hold or how many e-mails I sent. After trying for a week on and off, I finally got through and once I did they were great. They took care of me just fine. So I guess one needs a lot of patience at times. Good luck and keep trying!
  7. If you paid with a check tell them to replace or check gets canceled.Put the ball back in there court.
  8. I just picked up a SN in max 4 camo. I got the 26" barrel only because my SBE II has the 28" barrel. I wanted a different configuration than my SBE II. I don't think there is a heck of a lot of difference between the 26", 28" barrel. They both are equaly good. Try them both to see which sight plain and the way it swings best for you.
  9. Thanks for the wish and may I wish your family a very merry Christmas. Regards from Idaho.
  10. The Fort Hall bottoms. That is in the great state of Idaho in the South eastern corner. It has some of the best hunting around.
  11. The Stoeger may be cheaper cost now and that looks good. I will promise you one thing. You buy the Stoeger now and it will be a short time later and you will own the SBE II. Common cents would tell one that if the Stoeger was as good as the Benelli they would not sale very many Benelli's. My friends son has a Stoeger and it broke the first year out. Suck it up and get the big dog of all big dogs the first time around.
  12. If I am getting it right, you could use some snap ring pliers. Boy would a picture be nice.
  13. With lead shot the barrel length does make a difference. With steel shot makes very little difference if any.
  14. Oboy, wheres the know it all porker when you need him.:p
  15. You can call me stupid for not lubing by shotgun, I will go for that, But grinding the site off when you could just unscrew it, That is stupid beyond ones imagination. Even yours porker. If the truth were known you probably ground yours off.
  16. Why would one grind the bead off when they "unscrew"
  17. Should one clean the spring in the sock on a brand new gun before shooting or can one shoot a few before having to do this.
  18. Even if you think you are not going to shoot 3 1/2" loads, get the gun that will shoot them just in case you ever need to. I always over buy in this case, just in case.
  19. There is no way in he!! a guy could eat that many waterfowl. It does look like fun shooting them though.
  20. Get one and never look back. Keep it clean and lubed in the right places with the right amount and your good to go. I learned the hard way. I use to never lube mine anywhere and once in a while you would get the Benelli click. I lube it now and it seems to be very good
  21. Contact Benelli customer service.
  22. You can stick one of those magnetic Hi Vis sites on the end and that will lower your poi some. It sits higher than the bead and that will lower poi.

    SBE II question

It could have a broken part. As far as worn out, I don't think so. Not with 1000 rounds through it. I have friends that have 10,000 round through there's that are very broke in but not worn out.

    SBE II question

Where is hog wild when you need him. What you are going to here on here is take it apart tip to bottom, Clean every nook and cranny, lightly lube it where it needs to be lubed and if that don't work call Benelli C.S. After all that you will here just shoot it and shoot it a lot to break it in. I have owned several of these and it seems some of them are more finicky than others.
