Humm true, so for the parts in the kit # 70085, there is just a rubber pistol grip, then the stock part. wrapped in a checkin luggage alongside clothes, and other personal items, I'm sure it should not raise any redflags when it goes thru the x-ray machines....

Can one, say bring it back with him in his check-in luggage? Just separate out the parts?

Try to download the USMC M4 serivce manual from the internet...follow that as a guide. if anything just follow your factory service manual that came with the gun.

Muzzle up, muzzle down, as long as my M4 is in its hard case it really doesnt matter, but if I am leaving it for HD by the nightstand its gonna be sitting on its buttstock... wouldnt want to scratch up that nice barrel...

I wouldnt worry about it too much. Just tighten it up a bit..

cleefurd, I just installed your spring today. It was easy and straight forward, I cannot wait till the weather warms up so I can shoot the gun again.

I am a proud owner of a black M4 11707 model. The current accessories I have for my gun are: 1) Socomguys 7 round extended tube 2) Cleefurds upgraded spring 3) Blackhawk standard M16 sling 4) front and rear trituim iron nightsights 5) OEM Benelli standard stock (I can switch back and forth between the standard and pistol grip stocks) I am planning to get the GG&G upgraded, oversized charging handle which I see retailing for like $25, along with an upgraded, oversized release button, and maybe reclocate the rear sling mounting point more forwards towards the receiver. Do you guys have any suggestions about these parts? or recommend other accessories I can add to make this gun an effective fighting gun w/o going too overboard?

mine is smooth bore as well... can i fire rifled slugs out of a smooth bore barrel?

does the ar lower receiver come fully assembled? or just bare receiver only?
