I don't have, or want children, but I finally get what my Dad saw when I was a child and he watched me open the things that he had gotten for me. My entire childhood, I couldn't wait to open presents for Christmas, and I couldn't understand why my parents enjoyed it so much. I was the one getting all the stuff, after-all! Turn-about is only fair play, and even though he felt crummy tonight, he was a good sport and got dressed and let me take pictures of the process. By the time he got his gift open, he felt a little better! Considering all that my father has done for me, this is just a drop in the bucket, but it sure made him smile, and that made my Christmas! I finally get it. Thanks, Dad!

WTB - Benelli M1014 NIB (willing to trade as well)
Unobtanium replied to JFLinares's topic in Benelli
I paid $2500 for mine about a year and a half ago NIB. -
Intelligent mod with tangible benefits!

I'm irritated with it, I'll take a video in the next day or two.

I'll elaborate in time, if the issues are not personal (I doubt I installed the items incorrectly, but it's possible, being human and all) and are not fixable.

Probably shelving this M4S90 project for a while. None of the stuff I have bought for it fits correctly, or it causes other issues. Lots of money with no results. I am sure it will all get worked out, but until then, or Kip starts making some of the stuff I want, I'm not going to mess with it. Irritated pretty good.

Got my setup. Not impressed. Probably going to swap factory parts back in it. Problems: -Depress the hammer too far and it locks up. -Trigger-pack won't fit back in the weapon properly. The hammer axle is crooked and the retaining pin slams into the receiver, now. Other than that I guess it's okay.

Had one back off when using nothing, and when using 242. I used 243, which formed a MUCH better bond, and that stopped it. Loctite correctly.

WTS: Benelli M4 S90 Barrel w/ choke-tube (MOD) and Wrench

This is a brand new M4S90 barrel which came with my new M4. It is still in the factory barrel box which comes with the M4 in the larger box, disassembled. I have not taken it out of its box or the plastic wrapper. New as from the factory, complete with all of the gas pistons, plugs, etc. $700 shipped CONUS. Payment via USPS Money Order mailed USPS Priority. The reason for the sale is that I am using a mil-spec M1014 new production barrel on this build.

TTI didn't do any R&D on the product at all, they just copied their M1/M2 handle profile and pumped out a half-arse product. If you like it, that's great. I don't care how well Taran shoots, that doesn't make him beans at R&D or product development. Here is what TTI had to say about it on Facebook: "because of the bolt design there is no way to stop it from spinning on the M 4, the M2 & M1 wont spin, sorry!" That's right, the M4 bolt-handle they put out isn't even correctly machined on the end to prevent it from spinning, but maybe that's optimal, to have a bolt-handle that freely spins? Taran's the shooter, not me, maybe it's the new fad? Now, as to the additional weight, it's made of stainless steel. Maybe it weighs more than the factory bolt handle (likely) and causes reliability issues like the GG&G did, or maybe it doesn't, I don't know, but I'm not going to buy junk from someone just because "they're a shooter". It's got to WORK, too, and them not even properly machining the thing to prevent it from spinning (unless this is what REAL SHOOTERS like?) is a total no-go on convincing me the rest of the product was thought out very well. Facts > Shill for TTI.

The laws of physics > Taran Butler.

Anything that adds weight to the M4's BCG reduces reliability. If that handle weighs more than 10 grams, it's a step down from FFT/CC products. Other than that, all an aftermarket handle does is provide something more substantial to grab hold of. Any of the 3 mentioned will do that. "Made to sell" is a term I use for something that exists only to satsify profit margins. The antithesis of that is CC and FFT's true 1913 spec top-rail. It was made due to ridiculous demand after Duggan, myself, and others shredded LaRue tactical mounts on our M4 top rails.

Highly doubt Taran competes with an M4. That is a "made to sell" product, IMO. Heavy.

Yep, I am a huge fan of LED, in general.

Seems like we have similar goals! Self-sufficiency.

Land-based, the previous owner said something like 8-12 mbps is what it was up to, although he isn't sure, he is sure it's at least 4-6.

I bought 35 acres in Northwest AR (pictured). Neighbor is 1/3-1/2 mile away, closest town is 502 people, and is about 3-4 miles away. Closest larger town (50K) is about 20 miles away, all of it nice, paved road. I already have high-speed internet and electricity on-site for when I build.

The 500 lumen head was pricy but is well worth it. You can dump the KX2C for around $100 most likely, no problem. The 500 lumen head is direct from SF only at this time, as far as I know, and ran me $270 or so.

Very awesome. Our properties are 2 opposites! While I like and appreciate yours, I really really like mine. I find it odd how some people prefer what you have, and some prefer what I have. I wonder why that is? Anyway, it reminds me of Pahrump, NV. I went on a 4-5 mile hike there while out at the Spring Mountain Motorsports ranch, and it looked identical. I appreciated it, but would never live there, much as I suspect you would never live where I bought my land. Anyway, I'm not trying to be critical, just observing the differences in taste. I wonder what accounts for it. Duggan on here much prefers your type of land to what I went for, as well. I just find matters of taste like this interesting.
