  1. I always like to shoot 3.5"s at geese! but believe it or not, i shot more geese this year using 3" #2's! But the extra pellets and the extra powder is def. enough power to put down some geese at a lil bit futher distance! But i found that 3.5" #2's dont really pattern all that well compared to 3" #2's. just carries more pellets...
  2. i cant honestly say that black cloud is worth the extra money... Even though i did buy a box or two and it did seem to put the birds down at about 70yrds a lot better:eek: (granted i dont usually shoot that high, but when the birds arnt working they just arnt working) I shoot kent 3" #2's the most!
  3. just fyi... i purchased a brand new SBE II camo 26" barrel, in UT for $1,500... your gun is used, im sure that and people are waitin on the new VINCI...
  4. gloves...either that or your holding the gun wrong... ive heard people talking bout this. i shot mine and never had a problem though..
  5. Just giving you a hard time... posting up about another manufactuers gun on here...
  6. whos side are you on anyway?!? somebody kick this guy outta here!!
  7. cool just signed me up!!
  8. love my SBE II, i just stepped up from a Nova pump, and i love the SBE II!!
  9. i have a Nova and love it!! i shoot a 26" barrel though... its been through everything and back again!! great gun
  10. i have a nova and yes the orange bead is HUGE compaired to the SBE beads... that is my problem in shooting waterfowl. i personally like to see the bird while im shooting it, well the bigger bead put the gun lower then it should of been, so i always shot below the bird! since my ne SBE II has the smaller bead, im finding it easier to shoot with my cheek down and still see the bird (clays) just above the orange dot! and boom, and its dead!!
  11. AMEN!! yes my main consern was the warrenty statement. since the woman said the model # didnt matter because anything thats a defect from Benelli would be covered even after 5 years, but yet the registration page said only a limited 1 year warrenty, just had me confused. and now i know they dont need my warrenty card because even if the guns 20 years old they still stand behind it!!
  12. im not complaining i was just trying to make sure i understood this. my understanding was they warrenteed them for 5 years and thats it. it GREAT that they stand behind their products like that! makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside:p
  13. i understand that. but why did i get this statement afte registering my shotgun?? "Should your Benelli USA firearm require service, please refer to the terms of your Benelli USA One-Year Limited Warranty for details about what is covered, what is not covered, and how to obtain warranty service."
  14. alright so i just called Benelli. i told em that i think i screwed up on the model # while registering my shotgun. she asked me what kind it was and i told her a SBE II and she said "well sir the model # isnt important because we dont go off of the warrenty cards anyway. if its a manufacture defect they will replace it anyway." i said ok but what about the statement i received after registering it that said limited 1 year warrenty? "must be a miss spelling on our website, it has a 5 year warrenty" i said well do you need my model # then? "no because even if the guns 15 years old, if its a manufacture defect they will still replace it free of charge" so is that true?? i dont believe so.... dont think that if the gun was 15 years old and it had a manufacture defect on it that they would replace it?? do i need to make another call??

the only reason that he wouldnt be able to ship it to CA is that that model is considered illegal by CA. just like pistol mags. cant be over 10 rounds while in NV or else where they can carry more.
  16. well my # would be 10107 then i guess. i guess i gave em the wrong model #. so then why did they accept it? shouldnt they know if it was right or not? and what is up with the one year limited warrenty statement??
  17. how do i find out what the model # of a SBE II is? where would it be located?? its a max-4, 26" SBE II anybody know what the model # is?? i typed in B0051800 that was on the UPC code i have. then i got this at the end... "Should your Benelli USA firearm require service, please refer to the terms of your Benelli USA One-Year Limited Warranty for details about what is covered, what is not covered, and how to obtain warranty service." i thought they offered a 5 year warrenty?? whats up with this 1 year stuff?? thanks for the help
  18. hey come on now mudhen! weve all heard stuff by word of mouth or rumors. this stuff is no different. ive shot a couple boxes of BC through my nova and havnt had anything go wrong. i just mainly dont shoot it because im poor and dont feel like knowing everyshot i take is $1! if i use 3 1/2's
  19. x2!! had 2 friends get a stoger because they were cheaper then the benelli's well while my dads and my benelli's kept shooting theirs either got the barrel and the choke stuck with a factory "bump" that locked or had the whole action blow out of the bottom of the gun:eek: had another who bought a Franchi and it wouldnt shoot in the rain. we told all three of em to get a benelli but they wanted cheaper. havnt had a problem with any of mine... i love em!!
  20. well if your getting into geese specific yeah a longer barrel 28" or longer, but a good avg. barrel for all around hunting. for geese i use 3 1/2" BB's and do just fine! but believe it or not 3" #2's will bring down geese just as well. just a little less ummph. hope this helps ya out
  21. i believe its because of the irregular shaped "black cloud" bb's not the regular steel bb's and the way the wad works. i have no backing to my theroy just word of mouth. you might wanna check www.refugeforums.com or www.duckhuntingchat.com is some good infor on it.
  22. i dont shoot that black cloud that often, heard it ruins barrels and chokes...
  23. i just bought a SBE II and have only taken out shootin once. and that was to break it in. i shot 2 boxes of 3.5" shells thruogh it. and yes it kicked, but **** i didnt have my duck hunting gear on. and i was shootin clays. so if you add the jackets and everything else im pretty sure the recoil will be a lot less out hunting. your bloods flowin pretty good when you have a big group of geese coming in to even notice the recoil. just pull up and shoot! either that or get a limbsaver
  24. a good avg. barrel length is 26". i use 3" #2's 1 1/8oz for my duck loads
