I recently patterned my sbe2 with #2 shot 3.5" with factory chokes, briley x2 chokes and the briley bc choke and the carlson black cloud chokes. At forty yards briley x2 light modified performed the best with 150 evenly placed pellets in a thirty inch circle. I would call a tie between the carlson bc extended and the stock modified. Placing around 140 pellets in the circle. The carlson extended maybe a little tighter but only slightly. Hope this helps.

Placed 150 pellets inside a 30 inch circle with BC #2 3.5's at forty yards. Had similar results with Kent. The x2 choke isn't that much(45) and it does well. I shoot them in all my guns.

Use Briley light modified X2. I have had great results with it.

I noticed similiar effects at close range with bc. Pretty funny. The wad shoots a long distance. I have picked them up at around forty yards. How did it pattern? I placed 150 pellets evenly at 40yds in a 30" with a Briley light modified. It shot better than the Briley BC choke or any factory choke.

I have the stock shim in my sbe 2. if my gun is shooting high which shim should I try. thanks

Recently patterned my SBE II with black cloud 3.5 #2 at 40 yds. The stock mod done well but a Briley X2 light modified shot best. It had the best pattern and placed 150 pellets in a 30" circle.

What spare parts for the SBEII would you recommend me to keep in my gear bag. I always like to keep spare parts in my bag in case of a failure. I have only had mine for a short time and have had no trouble, but I like to stay prepared.

If it has been a while since you replaced the action spring. I would replace it again. A sales rep from Benelli told me once that if you shoot it alot that the spring should be replaced once a year. just a thought.

You're right tuck. For years I shot a 26 but started shooting a 28 a couple of years ago and I believe the longer sight plane makes a world of difference.

It will shoot 1oz loads well if you get the high velocity loads. Mine cycles pretty much everything great.

I like to shoot a Briley X2 extended non ported light modified with any 3.5" #2 shot.

Do not shoot black cloud shells through a ported choke. Pieces of the wad get stuck in the choke. High Flyer has a duck commander choke that is non ported especially for black cloud.

I use a light modified choke pretty much for everything ducks, clays, and doves. The regular Briley choke does very well.

Unfortunately just like everything else there has been a price increase, so if you find one that has been on the shelf for a little while it will be cheaper than the ones that just came in.

Dealer is a personal friend of mine and he would tell me. Also noticed some on gun broker and other sites.

The local dealer here in North Alabama has a SBE2 with MODB camo. He said that is was something Benelli was doing in the south. He was unsure how long it would last or if it would be offered in other guns. He also said that it would not be shown in the catalog.
