  1. welp, ive already got a rifled choke tube. Should I shoot sabots or rifled slugs out of it? Will it make a difference?
  2. anyone shot any slugs outta there benelli smoothbore barrel. Any suggestions of ammo, chokes, cleaning afterwards. Im just new when it comes to slugs and I was wondering if anyone had any tips are tricks they could let me in on. Thanks
  3. well, what does the flitecontrol do? What is the big difference? And I have a jellyhead superfull turkey choke. Do you think they would pattern okay with that choke?
  4. well, thank you for your help and to the Quaker.. I cant find where you are tlaking about. Can you send me a link? Thanks
  5. well do you have a supernova? (Different ammo works better with different guns) Sabots are a bad idea in a smoothbore barrel. The black magics im gettin are supposed to be shot through a smoothbore barrel. *According to their advertisements* They are supposed to give you a 3" group at 100 yards, but im sure that is with a scope and a bench as well. As for the Super X's, they are hollow point (1600 fps) and they leave lead in your barrel like a SOB. It took me forever to clean that damn barrel. The bernnekes are supposed to have something that virtually eliminates (probably just reduces) leading in the barrel, and bore butter will help with that too. But the black magics are some mean mothers. Some people ive talked to wont even shoot them anymore because of the massive recoil, but i just called the pus*ies and ordered some! lol.
  6. well hotdamn! I finally found someone that shares my passion. I have a smoothbore supernova and I shoot slugs outta the thing all the time. Ive got a carlsons rifled choke tube and I just shoot the cheepo Winchester super X's but there aint much cheep about em. They are 5 bucks for 5. Thats a dollar a pop! but its damn cheeper when target shooting. I have heard wonderful things about brenneke and hornady. I have some brenneke black magic's in the mail, but I wanted the biggest bang I could find for deer hunting. The black magics are 3inch and weigh 1 and 3/8ths ounce and spread to almost a 2 and 1/2 circle when contact is made. But ill post pictures when I try em. But as for the cheepo super X's, I just target shot these bad boys at about 45 yards with nothing but the standard bead open sights. I BUSTED a 8" X 8" crayon box almost every shot.. 4 outta 5 shots to be exact. The last shot was off for the simple reason that I started flinching after shooting 4 in a row because my shoulder started feeling it. But these things (because they are hollow tip) will make a nasty exit wound if shot into a couple of 2X4's! LOL good luck out there buddy.
  7. HI, i have used winchester 3 and 1/2 inch turkey mags in my benelli supernova and have had okay results, but I was hoping since this is a benelli forum, you all may be able to tell me the best ammo to use to take down the big gobbler next year. Ive heard good things about federal.. and remington?
  8. Well, All my friends have their guns tapped and drilled. I would know what it looked like if mine were tapped and drilled. You see My gun was a christmas present from my parents and they ordered it in a MAX-4 HD camo instead of some kind of timber camo. It has killed alot of animals for me, even though I do not duck hunt at all. Ive killed squirrels, turkeys, doves, and 1 coyote, but i have recently put a rifled choke tube at the end of the nelli and shot some rifled slugs out the end of it. I hope to take it deer hunting but it will be problem if I cant see the deer to shoot it. I was just hoping i could get it drilled and tapped before november of this year. But like i said, ive been hearing about how some shotguns CAN NOT be drilled and tapped and i figured that I would ask yalls opinions. Thank you.
  9. Hi, My name is Cody, Im new to this forum and I only registered so I could ask this one simple question because apparently the Support Team that I emailed arent going to reply. I just bought a supernova (comfortech, 28" barell) and its great, but it isnt drilled and tapped for a scope. I was wondering if I could get a gunsmith to drill it for me. I was told by some local gun dealers that the Supernova may NOT be able to be tapped because the reciever couldnt handle the pressure. Some were saying yes and some were saying no. Can anyone help? And if it can be drilled and tapped, what weaver style mount should I use? Thank you.
