well the whole reason i wanted to try an non-ported choke is because i wanted to give the flight control a shot. oh and its for my supernova.i have a jelly head and i get good results but i saw .640 and said wow, thats tight. i was planning on shooting lead 6's out of it. but if its too tight and you guys have tried em before with bad results i guess i have my answers.

yeah.. i almost hit 3 bucks walking across the highway this morning. If i would have had my gun one of them wouldnt have made it very far. lucky.. lucky...

glad to have you abboard! supernova is where its at! i carry 5 shells on a belt after i load my gun with as much as it will hold . but thats just me, if your turkey hunting or deer hunting with it you wont need much ammo, but for bird huntin just carry you a bookbag or a badass sling hahah.

well i wanted to give the flitecontrol wad a shot but i heard that a ported choke gives terrible results. I usually use the big black winchester X's in the 3 1/2 inch. I get pretty guud results but i was looking at some choke tubes and a buddy of mine found a carlsons .640 turkey choke. I was just going to see if it would give me terrible results. the choke is just 20 bucks i mean its not going to break the bank, but i was also told to use small shot with this choke like 6 or 7. any truth to any of it.

can a turkey choke be too tight?! even with 6 shot?! carlson makes a .640 constriction for a 12 gauge.. too tight or is there such a thing?

damn..ill give it to you..i thought my supernova looked cool with a scope on it..that gun looks pretty sweet dude.

yeah.. it was ******** this year in virginia. the weather was weird this season and the deer didnt even start rut until after rifle season was over! bastards. I had the flu but it was in early bow season so i didnt care, but them luck sumbitches got it good now, the rut is going smoothly as it is 4 degrees outside and it finally FEELS like deer season. i feel your pain.

its not wearing down as much as i want to try a new choke. i mean the paint is coming off, its scratched and to tell the honest truth it was a gift and its made for a superblack eagle. shhh.. dont tell anyone. haha i didnt notice it said it on the choke the first couple of times i shot it. it patterned fine (better than both my buddies mossberg and stoeger) and it didnt screw with my gun and money was tight so i kept it in during turkey season..it shot fine.. but its ported and its not made for my gun.. so i was hoping to get a non-ported choke that is actualy MADE to fit a supernova. Tyson and I were lookin at a carlsons turkey choke that had a constriction of .640.. whoa.. yeah i know.. is that tight or what!

okay guys... im back again with another question. about chokes... Well my beloved jellyhead choke is starting to wear down and ive been wanting a new one for quite some time. I got to thinking about it and i figured i might ask all of you which turkey choke i should buy for next years season. I am shooting a 28" Barreled supernova and i hope to get some good patterns out of federal,winchester, or hevi. Any suggestions guys! I would really like a pertruding choke if possible.

dude.. RAM THE F*** out of it a few times with a tornado brush.. then take a couple of pads and flush through it. if that doesnt work. i like duggans idea.. that stuff dont play around.

I think ill just hang out in Va and hope to get 1-2 cheap turkeys. Those high dollar turkeys are a bit outta my price range. Guess i havent had as much time as you, mudhen, to work and save up the money. im only 19 afterall. but i guess when i get old ill have all the free time and money i can handle too. as for the topic... go with the supernova or maybe both if you like throwing away money too.. but both are great guns and you should be happy with either one. you could kill a turkey with either good thing turkey hunting is so easy!

i wish i had 1500 dollars to hunt with.. id say screw hunting and go pay on my vehicle.. why the **** would anyone need that much money on a damn hunt! ohh and whoever was asking this question...SUPERNOVA! sure its not as fancy as the SBE II and it is a pump.. but its safer.. and ill put my supernova up against any other gun and i will feel real comfortable with my chances haha. i love that gun.. but they all do the same thing. they kill.. ive already spoke my peace on the subject of tactical weapons and i dont want to get into it with anyone about hunting weapons like i did with the tactys. go with the supernova..

turkey barrels are short... and tapped. thats about all. some may come with special sights.. but they are nothing special if you ask me.. of course im a long barrel kinda guy.. psstt.. patterns better in my experience

even with the ghost ring you will be fine! a scope will be good but if your going to use it for home defense still i wouldnt get something would a load of zoom.

psst.. hes telling the truth! 88 yards is the optimal sighting distance! like it matters ifyour an inch high/low/right/left... whatever these things hit.. they are done. the entrance hole is easily an inch! but the exit hole... i dont wanna talk about it!
