yeah man i heard that! its freezing and we are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow tonight. bleh. Let me know how those hevi's pattern. I have used win. hi velocity #4's but never the 6's. This will be the first time ive ever used 6's. Those black shells are mean man. I think im going to put up some poster board or some big piece of wood and test my pattern inside of a 30 inch circle. Any patterning advice?

My nelli's camo finish is Max4 HD. It was a gift from my parents but I never go duck hunting, or any kind of bird hunting for that matter. Well on Christmas morning my Dad took me to shoot it and I was in love with it and didnt have the heart to tell me dad that i wanted to change it out for an APG camo pattern type. So i decided to look into the dipping industry. Well after talking to many people and after using my gun now for almost 3 years i can say that the camo pattern really makes no difference! As long as your gun is broke up and blends with your surroundings it doesnt matter what the pattern is. just curious tho? how much does something like this cost??

Do you shoot Hevishot or lead? Everyone i talk to swear by hevishot but i am in love with the flightcontrol wad! they make heavyweight mag shok with the flightcontrol but they only have them in 3 in. shells! i am all about 3.5 in shells!!!!!

i bet you it just pissed them the **** off! coyotes might be small but they are tougher than they are made out to be. IF you could get it close enough, anything would kill it if you put the pellets in the right place. but 6 shot would be gambling at any range.

thanks for the imput! my choke is an undertaker 665. it does seem a bit open for 6 shot so if it doesnt pattern well ill comprimise with 5's. What choke do you shoot your 6 shot out of?

GAH.. im so tired of people talking about all this home defense junk. My .22 LR can chase off a theif! I just dont understand what all of these "defense" junkies are preparing for!!! Zombies??? Terrorist invasion??? Freddy Krueger?? im just confused. A single shotshell should be more than enough to take out any assailant. My supernova could do it no prob... just as any pistol, rifle, bazooka,flamethrower or raygun could. (sorry about the raygun)

well i went and purchased some federal flightcontrol #6 today. I cant wait for the snow to stop so I can get out in the field and try em out! Im sure by now everyone has seen my previous patterns with #4 but ive heard that #6 shot will pattern alot better. So why do you guys think.. 4 5 6 7? what do you prefer?

hmm.. i think i may try the 6's then! I mean turkeys are pretty tough but damn lead flying that fast through the air cant be that hard to penetrate into a turkeys head at 50 yards. If i can get 100 more pellets flying through the air then im all down for that.

oh that is def huge. I just dont know about the knockdown power beyond 35 yards. Im just a bit confused about how that works. Id have to see some stats to make me think different. Not that i dont believe you hog. Im just stubburn.

i think that may be a good setup. 655 is pretty tight. I think it was a good choice going with the 6's. but try 2 ounces of shot. you get alitle more pellets in the air. but that is if your gun will shoot 3.5's.

yeah i get what your saying when your talking about more pellets. but i think that range suffers a bit past 35 yards. I think im going to try 5's.. but if that pattern blows then ill use 6's

nah.. i have scope. If i had been shooting with just a regular bead i would be more proud of the shot. but i would expect nothing less from ANYONE who shotguns with a scope

that was my plan all along! haha that way i can daze it with the wad and then stab it in the face while its concussed. haha but im going to head to the mountains after it stops snowing here and ill be trying some #5 in the same ammo. im going to see if we cant get a better pattern. and to prove to a certain few that that pattern is not fake! haha

that was with a h.s. undertaker 665 with federal flightcontrol #4 shot. (3.5 inch), but that was at 30 yards, and i plan on shooting some #5 because they say it patterns better, who knows if it will pattern better than that. The wad was what made that huge hole. im sure some shot went through as well, but most of the hole was the wad! it stuck in the back of the target. the target was placed on plywood.

its all up to your gun. go out and read what people have said about the stoeger 2000 and turkey chokes. just go with your gut, if you buy a choke and it doesnt pattern good. return it and try another.

welp, i would try the factory choke first. you may be suprised. you may get a good pattern and you might be content with it. If not... then i would try a carlsons extended turkey chokes, h.s. undertaker, primos tight wad. Those are just some cheap ones that ive tried. ive heard great things from rhino. But i shouldnt have a fuss now. That is a true pattern and its a pattern i can live with with a choke and ammo that are priced under 20 dollars.

welp as soon as my buddy gets his new choke tube i think we are all gunna head up in the mountains and throw some shot through it. Ill go out and buy the same ammo and ill take the range finder with me. my guess is ill hit about 20-30 hits. that is what it was last time. ill give it a shot and send you a pic.

that is THE only reason i didnt run out and purchase a vinci. gun looks sweet and i hear it performs. but i like 3.5 inch guns.

where the **** did you find a slug barrel for $270 and i have been to lake cumberland. i live about an hour outside of middlesboro. I go to the dentist there! haha. as a crow flies im about 70 miles away from ya!
