*clears throat* okay.. the max4 hd camo is FINE! its just the break up that blends you into your surroundings. As long as it isnt orange and pink stripes i believe you will be okay. It is your movement that counts. Stay still, not everything in the woods is brown and green. Turkeys know that just as we do. Just becuase it doesnt say timber on it doesnt mean you cant use it around trees. Its acamo patter to help your break up among "natural" objects. Some camo claim to be better than others and that might be the case when talking about blending with your surroundings, but its more about pattern of camo instead of color in my opinion. but if you are worried about color just think about the woods you live in. If you hunt thick cedars then you may want to think about your break up, but dead grass, hay, sandstone,corn stalks,etc are the same color as your waterfowl camo. you will be fine.

use whatever gives you dense pattern regardless of shot size you still want alot of pellets in your target. 4 pellets in the kill zone from any shot size will drop your average turkey.. if you ask me.

they will tell you 6.. I have never shot any so i dont know.. but i like 4's just because if you get 1-3 pellets in the brain they are big enough to kill it. ive got 6 pellets in a squirrel one time from 6 shot and it still ran. but i didnt shoot it in the face either. its really up to your gun and choke. try all of em.

well people have told me that carlsons and primos make some good chokes and they are all i will buy. i have a primos jelly head and i like it prety well. I only shoot winchester black boxes. 4 shot! i havent tried anything else though, thats why i posted the thread. just wondering what worked for you guys.

well i would love to reach out and touch something at 100 yards! if it stays in a 3 inch group at 80 yards, ill be fine and set in concrete the slugs ill be using come oct. 31! (deer season) ill be gettin em sometime next week.

haha yeah.. those accutips tumbled hard at about 50 yards out of my smoothbore, those damn buckhammers left holes the size of a half dollar, but without rifling they were just a hunk of lead floating in the air. i wouldnt trust them when mentioning distance. I hope the BM and the federal truballs pattern better! freakin waste of money was exactly what those accutips were!

this ported and non ported **** is confusing me, are non ported chokes better if you wanna hold tight patterns or are ported chokes better if you wanna reduce recoil.. im so confused. someone please explain.

yeah go to **** ART. That pattern was posted for me because i asked for it. I am planning on getting the same slugs that were used in the patterning test. If I were plannin on using something else i would have never asked for this pattern to begin with. So why dont you let me worry about the distance they were shot and you go and play with your S&W.
