1. So I asked ATF if the new H2O was legal and the only question the agent asked was is it a pump action. So i say no and the answer i get is "then its not legal to own in Ca." Then the agent goes on to say that if the shot gun meets any of the criteria for Ca's assault weapon definition then its not legal. So i look up what is defined as an assault weapon in Ca and I found that as long as its not greater than 10 rounds, isn't detachable magazine fed, doesn't have a folding or telescopic stock and does not have a pistol grip then it is legal. So i am looking at a benelli m4 with a standard stock and i am good to go. Is my assumption correct? Any help with this matter would be much appreciated. Any Ca. M4 owners out there? Whats the deal?

yes you are legal if you have the standard stock on it. it is a assult weapon if it has pistol grip and telescoping stock.

check this site Cal-guns.net all the cali info you need for any gun

  2. I believe the word you're looking for is "were".

To answer your slightly invective question: The red dot sight is not installed while the shotgun is sitting beside my bed at night. I have a crimson trace green laser and 250 lumen light incorporated into the vertical foregrip if needed. Thanks for your concern.

nice can you take pics of the VG? I will also be intrested in how the fast fire holds up if shooting full load buckshot

    also welcome to the fourm

  3. I'm looking into sighting options for my m4, I'm sure that this one may have been drivin into the ground, but how about some feedback about preferances and experiences with different sights on your M4s? Pics would be great! I'm thinking about sticking on my eotech, but thought I'd check first...

Eotec is to big IMO. I like the big 65moa dot with the small dot in center but the whole case is just to big .

I was looking at the Cmoore red dots but if you find my thread you will see Hookster posted links to others that I have to look into.

  4. I'd love to see a pic of the M-11 when you get it all dialed in! I used to have a semi auto M-10 back in the 80s. Have you looked at the Pride -Fowler mini red dots that Larue sells on their mounts? I like the extra bit of protection around the lens

    later,

    Hookster :)

no I never see that before. I need a shop where all this stuff is in one place. Internet is cool if you know what it is but I have no clue about all these red dots, lol

im gonna research that one now also

  5. Hey Rocket, since they both are rail mountable I think the RTS is just their latest/greatest smaller version that can also mount on scope rings etc like a Docter. The railway version is what they've had for years. I bought one for my AR w/ rear sight all in one mount back in 1999. I worked well enough but I found eventually it wouldn't turn off quite all the way although this was like 11 years after I bought it. Here's a pic of it:

    Later,

    Hookster :)

Thank you for the reply Hookster.

from what I have read with the railway version you can switch the MOA dot size very easy and they have a buck for you to choose from. i guess thats good for different stuff.

the RTS only has two dot sizes according to what I have read.

I think a couple of RTS red dots will be my choice as the lil sub gun and M4 will both be used under 50 yrds I think 8moa will work

  6. I am looking at two different red dots and I can not tell the difference between them. I admit I am not the brighest but if someone could help me?

    I want 2 red dots 1 for my M11A1 (Mac11) and 1 for my M4

everyone that uses Cmoore on their Macs has the railway version. I read the description 5 times and can not figure out what the railway is for.

Has anyone used the RTS or STS on their M4. I want the same look between both guns and I will probably swap out my Eotech on my AR for a Cmoore also so they all give me the same view.

any and all help is welcome.

  7. Mark your after looked just like mine untill I went SBS. After that I had no choice but to get it coated with a grey/black skull camo pattern. I realy like your before look. the stock camo job is just cool to me.

  8. For sure they have a wealth of information and will certainly assist you! Speaking of "wealth" you better get your credit card ready, their wealth of information will cost you mucho monies. :D

    Enjoy the ride!

you just replied to a spammer bro! first OP legit second post spammer look at his signature.

  9. i have personally never cared for a semi/pump shotgun but it does look clean and nice

I see nothing wrong with this post. I have no clue about the other posts Needncash is talking about but I wouldnt worrie to much Bello. "Needncash" seems to not only be the spelling B police he also seems to be the cry baby police.

I also agree I am not into pump shot guns but that does look clean. I also like any gun HK.

  10. STRANGER I wonder if you got the right gear sector? I got one after you recomend it and it mounted no problems no cutting at all. I just could not get over the X400 on the side like that and it was just a bit to tight for my hand placement( took up to much room even all the way foward). but I do like your set up pictured above the tail cap switch looks like that way to go for sure.

The scout light fits nice and tight also looks good.

  11. Interesting mount. Here are more photographs of it.

I haven't thought of a method of installing it with a sling and a light both on the left side of the weapon. The amount of rail provided isn't enough. I may buy one when they are back in stock to move my sling mount on a QD mount further forward.

If you do not use a sling, this mount would easily replace a Surefire M80. I believe you could even use a GearSector offset mount for a Scout light to position the light in an ideal location. It also appears that the mount can be flipped so that the rails face forward rather than towards the handguard. So you could push a mounted light pretty far forward.

ya looks good in those pictures. I wonder if i could dremil it out and fit it so the rail is on the bottom? That sure would help my OCD and things having to be perfectly balanced

  12. Not necessarily, you can use the tail cap switch with your thumb. That's how I run my AR. This just saved me from buying the Surefire. Thank you!!

I have a X400 with no gun to put it on. not sure how that would work with out the tape switch. but you have a good point on a normal light.

please keep us posted after you get it with a lil review if you dont mind.

  13. Anyone with a M4 camo gun tried to remove their mag tube with heat? I am wondering before I do it, will the heat mess up the finish? I assume this is a film type finish, similar to their hunting guns?

although I did not do mine myself, heat was used to remove my tube with zero problems.

I was to scared to do it myself and I didnt have a heat gun, so a local gunsmith did it no problem ( Iwas still very worried he wasnt, lol)

  14. I've also been holding out for the black handle. I'm thinking I'm just gonna get the muted one instead. And the hammer. On a side note, I have the Surefire M80 with the AFG on there and I'm really liking it. But for some reason, I have this urge to put the stock forend back on there. I just like the simple looks and basic feel to it. But 922r is forcing me to put a US made part on there and ironically it's making my shotgun into a more deadly weapon with the control advantage of the AFG foregrip.

    LOL, more deadly!

I just took off my M80 and went stock but if you see me at the range it is a FFT one :)

  15. I have another prom queen in drag....she'll go home alone.

    Let's see your arm candy.

thats nice! did you get kip to make you a TI tube or is that stock tube?

  16. It's just something I'm trying out. Kind of useful to me. My left arm has some structural/nerve damage so it helps me having the option.

I see what one do you find yourself using most? I never used the AFG but I do want to some day

  17. Excellent info ROCKETW19, perhapse you have a military intel. back ground? You certanly have the trick of filtering the inportant information from all the unaplicable data on the web.

    Well done Sir!

    Regards,

    -d
