  1. Get the super Vinci well worth the extra bucks to have a 3 1/2 magnum
  2. I use my Super Vinci as my waterfowl and field gun and have now designated my sbe2 as a true turkey gun. Nikon scope, 28in, lengthened forcing cone and polished, ported, rhino choke, and bought a pistol grip for it. Between the sbe2 and the super vinci I go with the Super Vinci. I hear a lot of people say the sbe2 is tried and true, that is true. Given time the Vinci line will be too. The super vinci shoulders better for me and the recovery time for the next shot is better for me also. and cleaning is a breeze. Back to having the forcing cone lengthened, If you designate a gun for a true tu
  3. I own both as well. I usually go with my super vinci. My sbe2 is tried and true, but whenever I say that or hear that from others, I have to keep in mind that the Vinci Line is new and has not had time to prove itself, but well on its way. But both are great guns though. Before I bought my super vinci I put about 50 rounds through a friend's gun he calls Lola. That would be the best route, go field test one. good luck
  4. Nitros combined with a Rhino choke is one of the best combos out there. But those nitros are sure expensive. If you stop to think about the nitro round, they are just custom hand loads for your gun. If you have someone that does hand loads in your area, have him find you the right load, it would be just as good and a lot cheaper and you won't have to send your gun away. That's all nitro does is experiment to find your gun the right load. The only thing they have advantage wise is they have a better starting point
  5. I pulled up stats from when I patterned my gun 2 years ago. I got an average of 322 at 40 yards with 3 shots, got 210 @ 50 yards, 160 @ 60 yards (clean barrel between shots). Before forcing cone worked on I got 281 @ 40. My choke is a .650 custom made choke. I think if you get your forcing cone lengthened it may get you in the 300's. It worked for me. Call rob roberts that is who worked on my gun.
  6. I own a super nova, SBEII, and the new Super Vinci. All great guns. If you have access to all three shoot them first. If not, and money is not an issue buy the SBEII or the Super Vinci. If you already have a pump get a semi auto. If you don't like it I'll bet your son will. LOL. I like my Super Vinci the best. What a gun!!!! As to recoil any gun shooting a 3 1/2 inch shell will kick. Look at using 3in with less ounces of lead if you are wanting to minimize recoil. Keep in mind, every action has an equal but opposite reaction.
  7. When I first got my super nova it would jam if I tried to cycle the first shell gently. I use 3 1/2 inch shells. It will jam, no questions about it. I had to man up and rack it as a benelli should be handled. Nikolai is right can't be a sally. Good luck
  8. I have a super nova and use the claw sling. Great sling.
  9. depending on where you will be doing most of your hunting should determine the length. If you are hunting mostly open field go with the 28. in a blind for turkey the 24. Both field and blind the 26. of coarse if money is no object I'd buy all three simply because I love guns
  10. I was told by Benelli the S.V. will come out in a "south paw" not sure when, they would not say. I guess the idea is to release technology and design a little at a time instead of all at one time so they can stretch out sales for as long as they can.
  11. I agree with Mudhen. They can be very effective. Somethings to consider though. When "ole fat boy" is in sight and you want to minimize movement I go to the mouth call. Also try wrapping your box call in a small piece of cloth to where it is between the box and the handle that way it doesn't make any noise when walking. Good luck
  12. Don't loose heart, I had the same problem you did. I ended up calling customer service by phone and no problems. Don't let email/computer/technology decide something like that for you. I have a Super Vinci and it is an incredibe gun, and yes they will carry a lefty in the Super Vinci
  13. What is your target number of pellets you are trying to get? I too shot the same gun. Some things to consider: First, Is your gun centered to zero? Take the first shot with the load you are using at 10 yards. You should have one large hole the size of a baseball. If the hole is dead center you are good. Second thing, is take 3 shots at 30 yards and take the average of the three. Then 3 shots at 40 yards and take the average of the three. If you only take one shot and you did not get a good pattern it could have been a number of factors: temp, wind, the shooter, (I shoot better first thing in t
