I got this turkey 17 minutes into Iowa second season. It was an unusual hunt with approximately 12 toms in the vacinity. We saw no hens. I got this 21 pounder with my 28" Max-4 Benelli Supernova and a Benelli turkey choke.

To say that I do a bit of research before I buy anything is an understatement so there were a few expectations I had about the Supernova when I went to pick it up. First and foremost was that the pump might be extremely stiff until I cycled it a few hundred times. I can vouch that, at least mine, came OTB silky smooth and without much rattle. My next question is this: I live in Northern Denver out by DIA and would like take it somewhere and put a couple of hundred rounds through it. I know Colorado Clays is just down the road, but I don't think that I'm ready to spend the money without getting used to the gun. Are there any good places people around here go to target practice? I have looked and am familiar with the ranges. I'm just looking for a place that I don't have to spend too much to test it out. Thanks in advance for your help. Also, feel free to list our any pointers on the Turkey Hunting here in Northern Colorado. Best ,

I shot the 2-1/4 oz #7 hevi's yesterday afternoon. The temp was 70 deg and the humidity was 100%. At a lasered 40 yards, the results on three consecutive shots through a fouled barrel were 292, 273, and 270 in a 10" circle. An average of 278 is not bad, but not what I was hoping for. I will test again with a clean barrel. If I can get it above 300, i will test it at 60 yards.

i've been turkey hunting for 8 years using my nova 12g. i dont really have a problem dropping turkeys up to 50 yards with winchester super x's but this year i was looking to try a new load. i use a pattern master choke and try to limit my shots to within 30 yards. any suggestions would be great.

I'm a Benelli noob so I need some help. I just bought a 26" SuperNova that i'll use as my all around gun. Is the SuperNova drilled and tapped so I can put a scope on for turkey or deer? Or just the steady grip and tactical....? Any other suggestions if its not...
