  1. How can they have stock when Surefire has stated they haven't shipped any of the X300 Ultras yet?
  2. Clearly you are mistaken, this guy has never seen the inside of a dentist's office...

    Benelli M4/1014

Exactly, I couldn't agree more, but as post #19 points out, not everyone understands your point. If I was looking to hunt with a Benelli, I would pick something other than an M4. If I was involved in 3 Gun, I would possibly find that the M2 fills that niche best. If I did either activity, I could probably provide reasons and further explanations as to why a particular Benelli model is better or worse than the alternatives.

    Benelli M4/1014

If this is in reference to me, I have nothing wadded up. My point was, "M1014" completely misses the boat by not providing any explanation as to why the M2 may be superior or in which specific purposes it might excel. Therefore, you must conclude the M2 is "way better" in every respect.

Well there it is, the M4 is inferior to the M2. The Marines and our military are misguided and this whole ARGO system is overrated apparently. All you M4 owners should immediately sell your M4s and buy M2s.

Really, the M4 is not as good as the M2? I guess I'll cancel my M4 order.
  7. I have shot an M4 with Fiocchi OO Buck (both light load and regular) so I have stocked up on it and it comes well regarded by two other M4 owners I know. I also have been buying some other OO Buck from other makers to try and I also plan to try some of the more exotic HD rounds along with some regular loads just to see how well it handles them.
  8. Me too, as soon as I get mine and can get to the range, I plan to run it in along with the help of a few other M4 owners who will surely give it a go to see how it compares to their standard M4s. I have zero concerns about Robar's NP3 coating. That reminds me, I need to order more 12 ga. ammo.

    New FFT Stuff

I think you are confusing "Joshue1240" and I, I was the one that mentioned my authorized Benelli dealer and not noting the trigger as one of the items that was replaced with a US part. I couldn't remember what parts he said off the top of my head, I only know he didn't mention the trigger. I have sent him a message to see if he could tell me again. I am also going to be seeing him tonight so if I don't hear before then, I'll have an answer later today. You pretty much make my point here, I want real data, not pure speculation that a questionable aftermarket US made NP3 coated part is a Benelli factory second part or there is a connection between both parts and that they are inferior.

So it is alright to make unfounded and speculative connections between stock M4 H2O parts and aftermarket domestic FFT parts that had issues with the trigger? Has there been even one confirmed case of a trigger problem with a stock M4 H2O? My authorized Benelli dealer, when asked about 922r compliance of the M4 H2O did not mention the trigger as one of the four parts they substituted with US made parts. The key is not to make wild speculative rumors but factual based explanations. The Internet is full of half truths and lies, I see no reason to add to them. One report of an issue with an FFT hammer should not result in "wild ass guesses" that the supplier of that hammer is the same as the hammers in the stock M4 H2O just because the FFT hammer happens to be NP3 coated. Show me the same issues with a stock M4 H2O trigger as the FFT trigger and at that point in time it might be a worthwhile discussion. Regards, Rich

    New FFT Stuff

You really think Benelli is installing "soft triggers" into the M4 H2O, essentially the same M4 that they have been building for the US Military since 1999? As soon as I get my H2O, I'll be putting a couple hundred rounds of buckshot and other shells down range with it, I'll let you know how she holds up, I am not too concerned based on all the other M4s that are out there.
  12. Are you referring to this one thread: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/28629-Picked-Up-an-M4-H2O?p=163577 I don't see an issue with the finish. If you want to debate Benelli's machining and finishing of parts, by all means, have at it. But I don't see anything definitive in that thread about the quality or lack thereof of Robar's NP3 coating process. My only issue is that I have ordered an M4 H2O and I haven't received it yet.

And maybe aliens made the hammers and gave them to FFT in an effort to thwart properly operating shotguns? I don't think it is a good idea to be purely speculating on this.
  14. For me, the H2O is less expensive and as far as the coating, let's not start making stuff up to support our argument to go with the standard black version.
  15. My local Benelli dealer had taken a few standard M4 and sent them to Robar for their NP3 coating before the H2O ever existed, they still have one on the shelf and have sold a couple like this. As far as the M4 H2O costing more than taking a standard M4 and having it coated, I disagree. By the time you take a standard M4, coat it with Robar's NP3, add the collapsible stock and the expanded tube, you'll spend far more than the cost of the M4 H2O. Just the cost of the M4 and having it coated with NP3 yourself by Robar will cost you more than I paid for my M4 H2O.
  16. I find this thread interesting, I too have one on order, I alerted my local Benelli enabler a few days before SHOT about this model and they were attending SHOT so they said they would follow-up. They ended up ordering six units at SHOT with Benelli and I am first on their list when they come in. The H2O model was formally released the first day of SHOT so I imagine that is when Benelli first started taking orders for this model. I do know that some have already been produced and in the hands of people here on this forum and on Gun Broker. My dealer has given me no official time line other than to say that when they receive them I'll be the first in line and that they would speculate it would be 3-4 months from when they ordered but purely a guess.

    Question...

I had no idea what it meant either but a few seconds on Google and the first hit was this: http://www.duckhuntingchat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=166201
  18. I don't think I would call Robar's NP3 coating as "painting a standard M4", but I do hope you are correct that the next production run is coming soon as I have had one on order with my local enabler even before he headed to SHOT to place his order with Benelli.
  19. I don't think the bad guy is going to care whether you have a black M4 or an NP3 coated M4 pointed at him.
