From what I've heard (which isn't too much, frankly), I'm not sure what Benelli was up to when they designed the non-collapsible pistol grip stock, it seems a lot of people complain about it being too long, even with 6' + guys. Maybe its something for legality? I don't have any experience with it though.

Can't say either except that this stock fits me perfectly, like it was custom made for me. LOP, acquiring the sights, and angle of the the grip feel like an extension of me when I shoulder it. Out of all the long guns that I have the M4 is the most natural feeling/comfortable when shouldered.

    I'm 6''2" and 195 lbs.

I tried the field stock just for fun and could not dig it because the wrist angle felt completely awkward and uncomfortable.

Now on my 590A1, I have the LOP set shorter on the MAGPUL stock

  2. Why are you giving up on it so quickly? I would break it down, lube it real well, load it up and manually cycle shells thru it to see if there is any hang up doing that.

Even if there is or isn't a hang up manually running shells thru it, I'd then fire it a bunch using full power 00 or slugs.

Then see how it runs after/during that exercise. I'd do anything I could to avoid shipping a gun anywhere.

Some of them just need a little working-in when new out of the box.

    Good luck.

Yup. The Ducati factory in Bologna is closed the entire month of July. Found that out on June 28th when the motor in my Panigale blew up.

    Since you mentioned Ducati....my 2015 Hypermotard;:)

LOL...yesterday's frustration resulted in the purchase of a decent bench vise and a MAPP torch! This s*** is about to get real!?

When I replaced my factory 5 round tube with an NP3 plated 7 rounder from FFT, I used an 1800W hair dryer to loosen the loctite that Robar used when they reassembled the gun after it was plated.

I can't remember what the color of the loctite was that Robar had put on there.....maybe green? I can't be sure but the hair dryer loosened it just fine after about 15 minutes of trying.

When I put the new tube on, I used blue loctite on the threads....I'm hoping that when I get my new Ti muted tube from CC that it comes off as easy as the original one did.

AT the time FFT was the only vendor that offered a genuine NP3 plated tube and CC had yet to offer their muted version of the Ti tube. That's the only reason that I went with the FFT 7 tube and not CC originally.

  5. I ordered a CC muted Ti tube about a week ago. Their site states that shipping out is from 20 to 45 days from order placing.

    Not too bad.

  6. Don't know if it matters in your research but, mine is a 2014 Robar H20 that came with the 3 position receiver extension, solid pistol grip stock,  aluminum trigger housing, 2 port barrel with the seating ring design, all the stuff you listed in the above 11707 model but mine is a 11718.

    If you're interested.

  7. LOL...yeah, nothing Italian is cheap. About a year ago, I was taking my Ducati off it's center stand after I just finished a 13 hour drive back to Az., It got away from me and I couldn't muscle the the 425 lb bike and I just dropped it right there in the garage. Just dropped it..and not hard either

Cost me $1200 in broken and bent parts.

  8. Yeah, I have no idea why my model with the solid PG stock came with the 3 position receiver extension, as well as why the pistons, and gas plugs, and almost all of the trigger group components were plated at Robar. I guess that I got lucky for once in my life.

  9. Hey, no I have never had a problem functioning even when the round count has been 350 or so before I cleaned it. Probably not much compared to most people.

Mine is an older Robar plated H2O model which is supposed to take more dirt and fouling and still function.

  10. Hey CCB, I take mine down as shown in the video every time I clean the gun which, sometimes ends up being after a few shooting sessions. Sometimes after every one, if I know that it's going to be a while till I shoot the gun again.

    With one exception;

If I know that I'll be hitting it again soon, I don't do much in the way of cleaning except getting the grit and unburnt powder out of the breach area and adding back lube.

One thing I don't do is use the bolt handle for removing the gas plugs or pushing out the trigger housing pin. I use an appropriate sized steel punch for those two things.

  11. LOL...yeah watch out tho...all it will take is for dementia Joe to bump his head on a cabinet door and it will tip him over the edge.

Then at the convention it'll be "here she comes to save the day, because Hillary is on the way!"

    God help us......

  12. I could be wrong as I have not taken apart my trigger group for at least two years but, does the snap ring not narrow in thickness as it curves up to the opening on it, and this allows the ring to enter/engage the slots?

  13. Thinking maybe I should've answered with what I understand about it to better help you. The answer is yes, if the snap ring is installed in the correct position, it should engage the slots however slightly, it may not look as though the ring has engaged the slots but it has...just enough to keep the bushing from backing out of the frame.

Anyway hope some of it helps.

Yup, tried that but I'm still having a problem. Think I might have more luck with the FFT grip?

No, I was only asking if they were FFT's because, I personally had a minor fitment  issue with them and have read other people's opinions that they can be not as precise a fit as OEM.

I only had them on for a short time for 922R and when I got a US made trigger frame, I ditched them for OEM stippled ones from Tango Arms.

  15. I really don't know all the particulars of which ones etc.. I am only mentioning the one negative that I have heard about the early guns. Whether they were 1014's or M4's, I don't know. But, if I were going to buy an early one whether it was a 1014 or M4, I would look for that.
