  1. I'm thinking about buying the small Limbsaver Airtech Slip-on 1" LOP Model #10550 for my M4 because I don't think there is a Limbsaver Airtech that fits the M4. There used to be a Noveski Adapter but it was discontinued and I don't believe anyone has released a replacement. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know. What I'm wondering is....does a slip-on actually reduce more recoil than a replacement recoil pad since you're using 2 recoil pads? What if you install a replacement recoil pad and then also use a Slip-on recoil pad on top of that, does that reduce even more recoil since you're using two aftermarket limbsavers? Anyone do a comparison or notice a difference? I selected the small slip-on because it has a 1" lop versus .5 for all the others, and although I don't need the extended length, I'm hoping the additional weight and more material will help minimize the recoil as much as possible. And I figured that I can stretch a smaller size to fit but it's not going to work if it's too big.
  2. If it's just a matter of spending a few minutes posting or searching for an adapter plate, then I would prefer to get the Limbsaver in the new Airtech design, just because it's newer. But if it's hard to locate an adapter plate, then I would get the 10403. I own both the old design and new Airtech right now and doubt that there is much difference in the two I've used a pair of tube socks taped to the stock before so..... But I actually didn't even know 10403 was an option because on the Limbsaver website it's listed as for the M1. Limbsaver is an established company so if it also fits the M4, you would think they would say that on the product description somewhere. Not only that, but the fact that Noveski created the adapter plate makes me think they wouldn't have done that if there was a Limbsaver that already fit unless they think the new Airtech design is different enough to warrant the adapter plate. Limbsaver actually send me an email yesterday telling me they are aware of the discontinued Noveski part and that they are working on a solution. I wonder why they don't just make an Airtech pad that fits the M4. You would think with it being a military issue gun that there would be enough demand to justify doing so. If I don't find an adapter plate after 5 more minutes of searching, I'm going to order the 10403. Thanks for the heads up on this.
  3. I thought the story was true....haha. That image is creepy as hell though.
  4. I thought it said StrangerDanger Shoot Out!
  5. Can you design a spinner that has a locking mechanism to retain the factory twist release? I don't think I've ever seen anything that has this functionality though. Something that spins and then locks in a way that wouldn't interfere with how it's used. Maybe a pull out to lock instead of pushing in to lock? So it would be pull out (to lock) and then twist to remove. Design is cool....lots to think about.
  6. @StrangerDanger Did you do the stippling on those factory hand guards? Do you offer that as a service?
  7. haha fooled me. written a little too well but believable. That picture is icing on the cake though...freaky as hell.
  8. This is the craziest animal encounter I've ever heard in my life. And that picture is creeping me out. Did you write a book? You're a good writer.
  9. works for me. I'll send it to you via private message.
  10. It's not the pad itself that needs to be modified, it was the Noveski Limbsaver adapter. It was a long time ago but I remember now....I ended up fabricating en entirely new adapter because the Noveski adapter couldn't work with the stock. At first I modified the Noveski one to work but there was a small issue that bothered me. I can't remember exactly what that problem was but it was something like not being able to collapse all the way. Or it would collapse almost all the way but it was a hair off to where it wouldn't click into place or something along those lines.
  11. In this particular case, I don't think there's anything to not like because the spring absorbs any potential length precision issues. And I can't imagine there is much else that could go wrong within that system....I'd be curious to know the weights of everyone's springs...that could tell us at least if some of ours came with different sizes from the factory. Have you seen anyone who has taken a spring weight poll? We should be able to figure it out pretty quickly by asking everyone to post the weight of their stock spring and length of shell.
  12. I've never been able to figure out why mine sometimes will take 6 and other times will fit 7. My guess was that the mag tube spring was sometimes binding differently inside based on if I put the spring in correctly or not..... or maybe the follower and spring weren't perfectly in line or something. If you think about how long the spring is and how much it has to compress to accept 7 shells....it's incredible that it even works....I can't help but to feel like it could be getting deformed inside but when I remove it, no evidence of any issues. Solving the problem with an aftermarket spring bothers me but I guess in this case precision specs aren't crucial. Being able to use different length shells means there's a lot of wiggle room..
  13. New in box. I've decided to keep my limbsaver so the unit will come with the stock factory pad. This is a new unit and doesn't have any signs of use. Includes USPS Priority 2-day shipping and I can ship immediately. $380 NET shipped
  14. What FPS is your ammo? I'm trying to figure out some lower power loads that will have less recoil so it's more enjoyable to shoot. I bought some 1560 FPS because it was on sale but it's no fun to practice with. Just to try and use up some rounds I shot 21 rounds into the ground the other day and I think I sprained a finger or part of my hand...haha
  15. Also, do you like that extra grip up front? I bought the same one, I think from Magpul, and I've tried to use a lot of times but it's super uncomfortable for some reason. Borderline painful even. I'm not sure what why, I've tried all different positions and grip pressures but it's horrible on my gun.
  16. Awesome. I can't believe how long this gun has been on the market with the same design. I'm curious about the M4 that you got in 2002 from the military. Do they give you a brand new gun and do you get to keep it at your house or room for home defense? Or do you have to check it in and out when you want to use it? Was there anything different about it compared with the latest one? Or was it exactly the same even back then? Thank you for your service sir!
  17. I wanted to buy something for home defense but didn't know anything about guns at the time, 2013-ish. I happened to be with a SWAT guy for a completely unrelated reason, I think he was the Captain of the LAPD SWAT at the time. He obviously knew a lot about guns so I asked him what I should buy for home defense. His eyes lit up in excitement and he practically insisted that I buy the M4. He said something along the lines of, "Don't waste your time thinking about anything else, just trust me and get the Benelli M4, it's the best shotgun you can buy." So I ordered it two minutes later without performing even a single google search on it. I wasn't into guns so researching or reading about guns was the last thing I wanted to do. Guns have since grown on me but back then reading about guns was like reading about quilt making or sewing. How did you discover the M4 and how awesome it was? Magazine? Military?
  18. Is there a way to edit posts or delete them? I want to reduce the price on this but I can't figure out how to edit the title, anyone know how? Price reduced to $180 shipped
  19. I'm asking $160 because I saw it listed here for $249 and this seller is legit. I figured $90 less for the exact same thing (including Priority 2-day shipping) is not bad for something that's sold out everywhere. It's not like your decision is irreversible but I would have went for the c-stock regardless of what this stock is worth. Let's say it doesn't fetch $160 but I only get $100 for it. What's spending $60 more on the Ferrari of shotguns to never have to wonder again if the c-stock would have been an improvement? Which you already know it is because it's the same thing with more options. If you plan on keeping this gun for while, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the c-stock. The OEM quality makes it a uniquely clean upgrade that's not hard to resell if you ever want to. And it's really convenient for transport and storing the gun in your home. For the cost of a few tanks of gas these days, you won't regret it.
  20. Purchased this from here, never used it. $225 shipped includes paypal fees The Benelli M4 muzzle brake is designed to take some of the kick out of the gun. The Benelli M4 muzzle brake compensator or “comp” is a muzzle device designed to counter the vertical movement of the barrel, forcing that muzzle back down on target. The Benelli M4 Muzzle brake breacher vents/ports are what prevent damage to the muzzle. the teeth allow the muzzle device to bite into the door/frame.
  21. Brand new never installed OEM Synthetic Conventional Stock I just realized that this box is for the collapsible stock so I might have shipped the correct box to someone else by mistake...I'm looking for it now but in a worst case this is the box it will come with. $160 shipped includes paypal fees.
