  1. Margie@TA does exceptional work and is the nicest person to deal with.
  2. The first picture was taken from an online article.
  3. I’m usually dubious of GB ads using photos taken from online without actual photos of the sale item.
  4. I'm assuming this a decommissioned M1094?
  5. I stick a short cleaning rod up the recoil tube while stuffing the spring back in. Doing it so makes me not care about the drainage hole and I won’t be dunking my M4 in water any time soon. If the drainage holes are a concern, it wouldn’t be difficult to drill them in. Once the spring is in, getting the retaining screw back in is made easier with Doge’s retaining screw driver tool.
  6. I noticed the lack of the drain hole but it wasn’t difficult to get the spring and cap in.
  7. What’s everyone using for M3 magazine tube brace? I love the Nordic Components extensions but not a fan of their braces as it clamps over both the magazine tube and barrel. I’ve been using the MOA Performance (MP) brace but was curious if there were any other options. The MP brace clamps to the tube but doesn’t touch the barrel. Beretta 1301T example:
  8. I love mine. Great compromise between field of view and robustness.
  9. I bet the recoil tube is even worse. ? i used a MAPP and got it nearly glowing red before it started moving. Glad the tubes are steel!
  10. This is an interesting post as I picked up a 1301T because I felt like I was missing out on something special. My M4 has limbsaver on c-stock vs my 1301T with limbsaver on Magpul SGA. Using the same FFC 00-buck, the 1301T seems softer recoiling but I would expect that with more padding. The M4 does feel smoother though and quality seems to also favor the M4 - not that the 1301T is a slouch. In any case, I’m glad to have the 1301T as I think it’ll be a better shotgun for classes as reloads are easier for me than the M4 - pistol grip vs field stock makes a difference - especially (I hope) after I install the Pro lifter.
  11. I did the same with a Dremel. Just ground a lip from the end into the groove. Small enough to slip a small screwdriver and pop out the ring. Easy to reinstall/reuse the tube.
  12. Availability vs FFT trigger. Briley is much nicer trigger.

    M3 question

Thanks for all the info! I’ve been looking for a nicer alternative to my 590A1 and the M3 hits all the right spots. Weight is about the same, ditto reputation, ditto reliability.
  14. Lovely pair! Out of curiosity why two? As for break-in I like to strip and clean my shotguns, lube, then fire a couple hundred rounds of whatever cheap shells I can get my hands on. Then I like to fire about 100 rounds of my intended ammo to ensure reliable cycling and patterning.

    M3 question

I’m interested in acquiring a M3. Do they only come with PG? I’d much rather get one with field stock if possible.
  16. Is the latest 1301T with extended tube the “enhanced” that you say is shipping with CYL and IC chokes? My non-extended gen2 1301T only came with CYL. I only fire 00 and slugs from my trio. Pretty much use FliteControl rounds so CYL is all I need.
  17. Are you adding witness marks/grooves for each position so it’s easier to find them?
  18. The Mossberg 500/590 lifter issue is pretty well documented. However as I keep my 590A1 in cruiser ready condition (fully loaded tube, empty chamber, safety off), I’m not worried. The disengaged safety keeps the pins from walking. I’ve dropped my 590A1 from 5ft high and never could replicate the problem. With the safety engaged - it is as you described. I like the idea of drilling/taping the pins. I’ll have to give that a go.
  19. It is. The BROS raises the SRO a couple of mm so the irons are useless. I solved by installing a Blitzkrieg front sight and raising the rear. Now I can (barely) see the irons.
  20. I installed the 3-pos tube and I think it’s better milled than OE. You do have to clean out the tube but that’s simple enough.
  21. I bought this tool more to support a forum member but I have to admit that this made disassembly REAL easy. The tool is very well machined. Maintenance is now going to be a breeze.
  22. Thanks! I’ve sent my order.
