  1. Isn't the TTI one a "spinner"? ? I heard that people have had them snap off in competitions. Not sure if that's fact or fiction. Perhaps a run with poor heat treat?
  2. No, the color is fine. Just a small spot I noticed. Idk maybe something with the mold? Most people probably wouldn’t even notice it.
  3. I have a new take off field stock. It looks like it has a slight factory blend but otherwise new. I can send you some pics if your interested.
  4. The CC looks awesome but a little too rich for my blood. I noticed Benelli makes an OEM knurled charging handle that looks interesting. Anyone have experience with it?
  5. Was looking for a picture of the CC charging handle on the interwebs but came up empty handed.
  6. Would plating one of these hammers negatively effect the surface hardness? I’m assuming they would probably sand blast it prior. It seems most people like to mix this hammer in with FFT trigger components.
  7. Great insight, thanks. I too saw the installation for the TTI bolt release. I can pull off the install no problem. My concern is the way it fastens to the factory bolt release. It seems like a lot of pressure and torque put on that little screw. Can anyone recommend solid options for a different oversized bolt release and a trigger spring kit? Any experiences with the trigger group on Benelliparts.net? It looks like a good value at $199 being NP3+ plated. I wonder if this was an OEM trigger group that was plates here. I think technically it would then be product of the USA.
  8. Do you have the A&S NP3+ plated?
  9. I don't see much buzz on here about TTI. All hype? I've heard a few snarky comments about their charging handles. Any merit? I like that lightened bolt carrier.
  10. Are the aluminum OEM's preferred over the polymer?
  11. Dumb question. Which came first the aluminum trigger guard or polymer? The M4 that I just picked up has a polymer unit. I see Midwest sells the stripped aluminum module.
  12. Great testimonials. I may place an order with carriercomp then. It looks like they are available on the website.
  13. Thanks guys. I may eventually go to the Mesa Tactical Urbino. I’m going to hold off for now because I’m afraid it might be too short.
  14. Thanks for the insight. I’ll have to give it consideration. In the past I haven’t had very good luck with the durability of cerakote. It would be nice if CC offered a tube without the spring upgrade. I have other plans for that. i like the idea of the OEM Benelli tube but the weight savings of Titanium is attractive. Not to mention it counts as a 922r part.
  15. Thanks for the feed back. Yes, I’ve done some light sanding with fine sandpaper. I’ll probably do a bit more tonight and it should be perfect. i wish I thought of it earlier. I was fiddling with it for an hour before I figured out the issue. i probably installed and removed the trigger group 30 times!
  16. I like carrier comps price better but I am not a fan of cerakote finishes. Which tube do most people prefer?
  17. So, after an hour of hand fitting the stock (on off, on off, on off etc.) it's on. Definitely, tight but I bet it will loosen up after I put a few rounds through. What was I reading about Benelli's being built so precisely?? ?
  18. I'll take a look. I don't think the stock will fully seat with the group installed. I believe a tab on group locks the stock in place.
  19. The choke that came with mine appears to be Improved Modified 2 notches?
  20. I removed the standard stock and installed the pistol grip stock in it's place. After countless attempts I still can't get the trigger group back in. The holes do not line up in the receiver and I can't get the take down pin in. It's not off by much. It appears that the trigger group isn't far back enough into the stock assembly. I've given it some gentle taps, raps but I don't want to beat on it. I have also tried adjusting the stock and backing it off a revolution or two. I was hoping it might allow the t-group to slide back a bit further. No luck!
  21. Maybe I need to tighten/adjust the snap ring in front of the sling plate?
  22. Thanks for the explanation. I figured it was meant to be. I have a few high end rifles and one has an odd cut out on the bolt face etc. On another forum people post about this bolt and they panic that it's messed up. We all get a chuckle because once every 4-6 months somebody will post a bolt picture.
  23. I got my first M4 today! I just finished the basic out of the box assembly and I have a couple questions. 1.) My front sling plate has a lot of play, it wiggles. Is this normal? 2.) The bolt "cam like" pin (part #12 in manual page 162) has a small line cut partially in the top. I assume this is normal as this does not appear to be a defect.
