I must agree ! I was rather disappointed with the Mepros once I had them.. my eyes aren't getting any younger and the Mepro's are rather dim to say the least.. I didn't know the originals glowed after exposure to light until I just found out on the last M4 I bought.. I went back and checked the set I took off a different one and sure enough they glow too and are much brighter then the Mepro's..

Hmmm. after 13 years you would think they could make them fit properly .. sounds like a lot of them have to be made to fit by the unlucky buyers !

yes sometimes it takes awhile to get a response but sometimes they are quick.. for me they even paid the return shipping.. I ended up with those same ones and wasn't to happy they weren't the ones I needed..

I got stuck with those same ones.. look and see if yours are burnt out.. I bought 2 sets and both were dead and I sent them back and got a refund.. those are for early M4s and won't work on later ones.. they don't specify that in their ad. and I hadn't looked closely when I ordered mine when they were on sale.. they will probably take them back if you contact them and explain they are the wrong ones .. or... dead like mine were..

hopefully they don't all look like that..

yes I also have bought a couple and like them .. I didn't really like the looks of most of the other after market charging handles and these have that original look to them and blend in just right.. I bought a few things lately from Botach and either I am lucky or Botach has stepped up on their shipping and customer service .. I even had to send back a faulty set of night sights with ease and refunded quickly.. very good and quick customer service response all the way around ...

also you can search for the 11713 & 11710 both law enforcement M4s but the 11713 has the fixed PG stock and the 11710 has the field stock..

Ask the owner what the letters are inside the square box next to the proof markings on the left side of the receiver near the trigger guard this will tell you the year or manufacture ..

so very very true !! here is a photo of another one ( not Mine ) that looks more like they look in person..

yes they do look different in different lighting .. mine is darker and more like the one in SD's posting.. actually a lot better looking in person..

Hmmmm... no other Dark Earth M4's out there ??

I just bought a 2016 NOS Flat Dark Earth M4 It didn't come with the original box but is un-fired and came with a new Pelican case.. I wasn't sure just how I would like it as most photos are all over the place on color, some with a green hue some darker, almost bronze in color and some much lighter almost sort of a spiced mustard color.. after getting it in my hands I really like it.. its darker then it looked in the photos I bought it from.. here are a couple pics of it.. the first photo is more like the actual color.. anyone else that has a Dark Earth M4 please feel free to post them here.... lets see the ones you have !!

I'm not really concerned with either of these products but was just a bit curious after reading this post.. according to the link posted from DMW's.. he states his are 4140 heat treated spring steel and you say RxArms is made of 1095 hardened spring steel.. after googling 4140 vs 1095 they are pretty much equal in all aspects ... with 4140 just a hair ahead in a few aspects..

I was wondering it anyone knows how long the Flat Dark Earth models 11791 & 11792 lasted for ? seems like they started in 2015 or 2016 ? wondering when they were discontinued ??

Mine is black and has a 20 date code on the receiver... I bought it in early March of 2021.. it has a date code in the butt pad of May 2020..

I got both of my Meprolight Benelli M1S90 night sight sets today that I bought on sale from Botach.. after opening the envelope's they were shipped in, they were both DOA !! no glow in the dark or daylight !! black as coal !! contacted Botach and was sent a RMA return # and a postage paid label within just a few minuets !! I was amassed at how quickly they responded !!

looks like a $120 or so down the drain that could have gone towards a real one..

I wanted to try one of their KZ oversized charging handles as I liked the looks better then any of the others that are available.. I was very hesitant to buy from Botach with all the horrible reviews about them.. but I finally decided to take the gamble .. I ordered one and it shipped quickly from Botach but was shipped through DHL then transferred to USPS .. DHL was very slow to get it to USPS.. I bought another one of the same and it was shipped from Botach quickly and DHL moved it quickly.. so I just bought 2 sets of Mepro Benelli M1S90 ghost ring night sights that were on sale cheaper then anywhere else that had them and Botach shipped them quickly and once again they went out DHL.. a little slower then the last order but they are now at USPS.. either they are getting better or I have just been lucky !!

So If you bought the short entry barrel and got a stamp you could switch the barrels back and forth anytime you choose ? when you use the entry barrel what do you use as the mag tube ? do you just take the extension off ??
