GA Quackhead Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 watched it again today and will be back for more. Quote
sdkidaho Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 I wasn't sure I was going to like it - but I enjoyed the show. Quote
HOGWILD Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I can't even watch the thing due to being raised just across Louisiana border in Southern Arkansas and really miss running up and down the Ouachita River just up stream from Monroe! If ya ever get to go to Mississippi Flyway area you will not wanta leave if you hit the ducks just rite! I used to hunt Stuttgart as a kid and had so much fun i could not spend enough time over there. Being only able to hunt public land limits hunting that area since everything has been leased since the start of time it limited where you could hunt but it only slowed me a little! BOOM BOOM BOOM:D Quote
Trapshooter1 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I live in Arkansas, but I have never duck hunted in Stuttgart I have been there a few times and I hope to go hunting there some day. Quote
HOGWILD Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Hope you know someone that runs a huge Corporate Company like Riceland Rice or anyone that has a lease. Lotta great Outfritters over there just not too much on paying but it would be worth every minute/dollars as long as the weather was fowl & the duck were turning your cap backwards when they were coming in cupped!! hehe! I mean really wet and cold, that is how the ducks like it over there and usually it's being in the rite place at the rite time! Quote
Trapshooter1 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I got some friends that are friends with riceland, and some friend competition callers, and a cousin comp caller. Quote
HOGWILD Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 You should be hooked up HARD on getting to a nice spot with that type of connection! Lucky man!! Quote
Matt D Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I spend a week every year at Bayou Meta, rice fields and the White Water Refuge, also hunt the Missouir flyway around Mound City. We can shoot more birds in 5 days in AR, than 25 up north, except during Snow/Blue (air carp) reason. If you ever get the chance to hunt the green timber, go! Quote
hognutz Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) I don't hunt waterfowl anymore, but thought the show was great! Boom, Boom, Boom... Edited August 11, 2009 by hognutz Quote
BigAL33 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Awesome show. I've enjoyed all of the episodes so far. Quote
hognutz Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 On Saturdays episode they said they shot 1500 ducks in one season. Not sure what year they said. That's a lot of duck soup. The show still rocks... Quote
tucker301 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 These guys can't possibly be "real" duck hunters. I don't think any of them have bands on their lanyards. Until you get you some of those, you're no duck hunter. Quote
sdkidaho Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Well that sucks - I'll never be a real duck hunter then! I've enjoyed the show so far. They seem like good 'ole boys. Quote
HOGWILD Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 They have to kill a lot more than ducks to keep their table filled for the amount they feed every meal! I saw them sitting at the table eating in a commercial and it was extremely busy, very quite and had to be way past a dozen grubbing down! Quote

If they cooked 12 for every meal, they could have duck 125 times a year. They must really like duck!! Boom, Boom, Boom... Quote
