frolic1
I know that the M4 is primarily a "tactical" weapon, but has anyone had any success using one of these for skeet or trap shooting? If so what choke did you use? It seems to me that in the 30-50 yard range they should work ok.
OhioM4
I plan on trying mine. I did ask at the trap range and the only bummer is they only allow one round to be loaded at a time. Visions of emptying my full length magazine at a single, helpless clay target have been dashed:(

Did you try the special Home Defense ammo that spreads out into a huge cone of death at short range?? Check the other threads on the forum for posts on how you do not have to aim a shotgun in the house. Maybe you should try shooting clays indoors next time. OhioM4
The m4 is not used for this- Understood! Is that what all the fuss is about. Why my M4 could shoot those things out of the air with slugs....yeah that's the ticket.
Unobtanium
I shot a bird with mine once. It was decisive. I was using a MOD choke and some #6 or smaller bird-shot. The winged beastie was traveling perpendicular to my position at approximately 30m distance. The shot was instinctive and required no follow-up. This is my only experience with the M4S90 on moving airborne targets.
Domonlord
I do it all the time. Using just the ghost ring sights, I outshoot a lot of people there. Not going to lie... I have gotten a few questions about it, but since it's my only shotgun... I'm very comfortable using it.
