stevenm2 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 hey all this is my first season of waterfowl shooting in the UK Ive shot about a dozen ducks and a goose lol Could be better but delighted that its my first season Quote
T Man Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 How bout some pics of the european ducks. Season is shut down here for 2 weeks for doe season. It was sucking anyway. A straight month of sub freezing temperatures has about 4" of ice on top of every pond and strip pit around, and the few inches of snow on top of that makes it prime time to sit in the house and talk about the way things used to be Quote
stevenm2 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 i dont have any as of yet. Mainly just mallard and teal and grey lag geese! Quote
TMAC Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Ducks are all long gone up north, so you boys down south can have your way with them.......Shoot em in the lips!! Quote
Matt D Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 We were on the White River Refuge in Arkansas early this week the first two days were real good with the rice fields frozen they were in the refuge, but by day three the ducks were on the more south with temps in the mid teens. At home the high tomorrow is forecast at -2, we are froze solid. Quote
chop123 Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Not to bad today two honkers and two mallards, should have been three ducks but my gunning was subpar,if my brother or dad had been with me we really could have wacked the geese, about twenty came in,two is the limit. Quote
chinogoose Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Mudhen nice take. I hunt down in the valley and had my best day in the fog. Good luck on the rest of the season:D Quote
