922r Thinking Test

OK, just checking my thinking on 922r, in light of the excitement about the USA made hammer.

The more USA parts you put on your Italian made M4, the more cool gadgets you can put on it, like a full length mag tube.

So...

I've got a USA made butt stock, a USA made follower, a USA made spring, a USA made full length mag tube.

Also put on a USA made bolt release ammo feed thingie (forgot the technical name).

And, I think I'm within 922r compliance, correct?

This is such a stupid game, I wish it weren't important and wasn't for keeps.

Indeed it is. It is complete nonsense with respect to everything else, e.g. one can get a hi-cap FN SLP or Mossy 930 SPX or Remington, etc. with a pistol grip and not have to make mods to it since it's 'Made in the USA'. And all because of this completely made-up "meeting a 'sporting purpose'."

No qualms with that, have you considered making a "sticky" for parts that are needed to be compliant with a full length mag tube and collapsible stock, or, with just a full length mag tube? I believe the number is 4 and 3 respectively, and I also believe there is a great listing at FFT, but it would be nice to have a sticky here at the forum you know.

I do not have the power to make a sticky, but it would be nice. This question comes up often around here.
