Light shotshell Dove Ammo

What is too light dove ammo for the SBE 2? anyone?

Every gun is different. Is your gun new? Has it been fired a lot? New guns tend not to like lighter loads until it has been shot a couple of hundred rounds with heavier loads. First, make sure the gun has been "broken in". Shoot a few boxes of heavy field loads or even full power pheasant or goose loads. Then try out different brands and different loads of the lighter field stuff and use the one that works most consistently.

I use Remington heavy dove loads and never had a problem. I have less than 10 boxes through the gun. Never a problem.

An ounce and an eighth until the gun has at least a hundred rounds through it.

Yup, all the above is good. Keep it well oiled also especially if it's a newer gun, but even with an older one. Dry action, no oily, no worky. No matter how heavy the load.
