M4 Fixed Pistol Grip Install Problem

Lieb

Recommended Posts

I bought a new Benelli M4 with the field stock. I'm changing it out for a factory fixed pistol grip stock. I screwed the field stock off after removing the trigger assembly. Then I screwed the pistol grip stock on. It is either too tight or too loose. Is there an adjustment inside the stock to make it fit properly?

it's a total necro post but for those who find themselves with this problem now or in the future -- it has nothing to do with the bolt release, this occurs if the pistol grip is installed canted and it needs to be straightened out so the trigger group can fit in it properly.

This isn't entirely accurate. I've made sure mine was straight dozens of times. I don't have this issue with the standard/field stock.

Interesting development in this. I stopped by buds earlier today and they had one. The part of the stock that runs along the back of the trigger guard, looked to be sanded down completely on the model I looked at with the pistol grip already installed - to the point of the stock not touching the trigger guard at all.
