Lieb Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I bought a new Benelli M4 with the field stock. I'm changing it out for a factory fixed pistol grip stock. I screwed the field stock off after removing the trigger assembly. Then I screwed the pistol grip stock on. It is either too tight or too loose. Is there an adjustment inside the stock to make it fit properly? Quote
Lieb Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 It is suppose to be very tight. Once I get the stock installed and very tight, and have inserted the trigger group, I can't get the trigger guard pin to go back in. What am I doing wrong? Quote
Vertigofirearms Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Are you holding down the bolt release? Quote
DocBach Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 it's a total necro post but for those who find themselves with this problem now or in the future -- it has nothing to do with the bolt release, this occurs if the pistol grip is installed canted and it needs to be straightened out so the trigger group can fit in it properly. This isn't entirely accurate. I've made sure mine was straight dozens of times. I don't have this issue with the standard/field stock. Quote
Jolly Roger Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I have an extra pistol grip stock Ill sell for cheap. Quote
PremiumOctane Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Interesting development in this. I stopped by buds earlier today and they had one. The part of the stock that runs along the back of the trigger guard, looked to be sanded down completely on the model I looked at with the pistol grip already installed - to the point of the stock not touching the trigger guard at all.
