FrazierT
Just got a new Super Sport for Christmas. Took it out to the skeet range for the first time and found out it was quite the flame thrower. Using the bulk federal bird shot from walmart, about every 3rd or 4th shot produces a significant flame from the breach. (Hopefully the pics load) i have shot 1000's of these through my Rem 1100 and Mos 930 JM. Never had this issue. I'm used to a little flash in low light conditions, but this is enouph to feel it on your face. Any ideas? To clarify... i have not been back out to try any other brand ammo yet. StrangerDanger
I’d contact Benelli and see what they think. Any signs of unusual wear at the rear of the receiver? Generally the flame should be gone before the shell is ejected. Trying another brand of ammo would be a good idea.

StrangerDanger
Almost seems like it’s not locking up at all? Are all your parts present?

M2_shootr
After thinking about this for a while. I’m thinking the shells are the problem. I reloaded many shells over the years. I played with some American Select powder some years ago. I had the same issues with an 1100. I’m really not sure what else it could be. Interesting that it’s olny happening with this Benelli. I’d try some different shells.
