Nova Comments and Reviews.

I am looking to buy a nova before Ohios Spring Turkey season and was wondering if anyone could give me their comments and/or reveiws on the gun. Also I am trying to decide weather to get it in camoflauge (Timber HD) or synthetic black. If you could please help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I had a 12 ga. in Camo and a black 20 ga.

If I were to buy another Nova, it would be in the black finish. The camo seemed to make the action kind of "sticky" on the 12.

Go to the store and try both for yourself. Make up your own mind.

Great gun. I have a 20 black and a 12 camo. I painted my 20 camo on my own and almost like better than my 12 with the old HD camo. if you are going to be shooting heavy 3.5in loads, get the recoil reducer, it really makes a huge difference. I also put a comfortech recoil pad off of a sbeII on mine, that with the 28in barrel makes it one soft shooting machine.

How is the recoil if you were to use it for 100 rounds of trap in 1 day? It is an 8 lb gun so I assume its very minor recoil for light loads???

I own a black syn nova. I thought the action was a little noisy,I adjusted the little allen screws a small amount.I thought the black would bother the turkey's but they don't seem to mind it at all. I shoot a H.S and 31/2 Hevi Shot #6 with very good results.

My friend has one and loves it... I have personally seen him stretched out in the mud shooting ducks with both him and the gun muddy and wet...kept firing. I plan to buy my daughter a 20ga short stock version this year. Possibly one for myself.

I have a black nova that i shoot about once a week and love it.
