I literally just did this on my 11715. Remove the snap ring, pull it out, put the new one in. Careful, that sucker will want to fly out when it’s almost in. Here is a picture of the stock and CC spring.
Looks like yet another rail that wasn't designed by someone who uses a firearm in the field.
Terrible ergonomics compared to the polymer handguard. Added weight. No placements for lights that make sense. They'll sell a ton.
Once you break down the thread locker, you will want to remove the whole tube, clean it off, and redo it with red thread locker. Before you remove it, take a picture inside your reciever of how deep into the reciever the tube goes (how many reciever threads are exposed) this will help you re install it quicker.
