  1. The new LE versions with the collapsible stock have the new stock - which I also kind of like. I’ve spent a lot of time with the old stock version and like the old stock version better from a looks perspective, but I like the new one from a cheek weld perspective. If I’m honest, they’re probably about the same. But that’s it. Mechanically, they’re the same. Here’s the 11723 outta the box: And with a few enhancements - entry barrel, Magpul RVG, and a Magpul MS3 sling…

  2. Sure, rotties are great. The one above? She’s long crossed over the rainbow bridge, yet absolutely shredded the arm of home invader. Long story, yet it looked like somebody had tossed a bucket of blood in the front room. And zero uncomfortable questions about why I shot the guy - even though I would have been perfectly within my rights to do so. Short version is a crackhead pried open a door at 2am and got into the house when I lived in downtown Milwaukee. Probably 20+ years ago. Fairly liberal city, worse now then it was then, but I still would have been in for a ride through the criminal justice system has I put a few holes in him.

  4. I bought a 11732 recently and the first thing I did was to remove the front sling attachment point. It rattles a little too much for my taste. It's not like I'm gonna be sneaking up on somebody, but the 11B in me was partnering up with the OCD in me and it had to go. I put the rail attachment points on that funky new handguard (which I kind of like) and slapped a rail QD on it.

  5. I had previously ordered a Vicker's Blue Force sling in the same kind of configuration as I listed above (QD on one end, open strap on the other). It was back ordered back ordered back ordered. It showed up yesterday. Functionally I'd exactly like the MagPul MS3. The quality of the MagPul and ease of adjustment on the sliding part of the sling? The MagPul is 100x better than the Vicker's sling. I'm sure I'll find some use for the Vickers sling, but do yourself a favor and just go get a MagPul sling.

  6. Without being too much of a thread pig, I'd probably use this, maybe with a can on the end: Before I used a shotgun. Good Lord, you'd be deafer than a post if you touched off a shotgun round in the house. I get it, better than being dead, but a shotgun in *your* house at 2a? No thanks. Different story if I was clearing a house that wasn't mine and for sure had bad guys inside it. Then maybe I'd use something like this:

  7. I would ask ... exactly what circumstance would require you to allow someone to search your M4 without your consent to confirm this "compliance" you speak of? Exactly what probable cause could be claimed at an alleged glance? What would be required for a warrant to be executed in order to allow this to occur? If anyone inquires, tell them to piss off. Sounds like jumping through hoops just for sake of hoops.

  8. My son just finished Basic, AIT, and jump school these past few months. He is now in the 82nd Airborne as a Combat Engineer at Ft. Liberty(Bragg). He was so excited on getting to use the M4 because we had shot it so much before he left and he trained with it. When he got to the breaching part of his course on how they teach them how to breach different doors, walls, etc, and when they got to talking about using shotguns to breach his drill instructor pulled out the M26 MASS. My son said his heart fell lol. He asked them about the M4 and they said that the M4 will no longer be used in the Army for breaching and will be removed from rotation at least for the average soldier. Maybe SF still has them or uses them, but no longer for the average soldier. Kinda sad, because he said the MASS absolutely sucks and the recoil and handling on it is horrible.

  9. Sidewalk chalk, cheap, light to carry, obvious when hit and easy on the environment.
