the barrell shroud is a plastic type you find at gunshows,the material is easier to manipulate and much lighter,they sell for about $15,some shimming and trimming and you"re home.Definitely saves on the hand burns after alot of rounds.-----------------peace to all my M1014 brothers and sisters-----------------M1014--------- -------------------------------------------------------

Reasons,,,,,,hhmmmplenty of'em,the bolt has advanced features that ensure cycle reliabilty,the gas system operates flawlessly,minimal cleaning if any,a clean gun is a more reliable gun,so keep it clean,if weight is an issue,go get stonger,your gal will like it also.I like the heavier duty barrell on the M1014 over the upcomming M4,-----don't be shy, do the work yourself,it will teach you to stay teachable M1014

Excellent choice in weapons ,load the magazine up to 5 shells , measure up the extra space and cut the shell limiter accordingly if needed,,,,------------------M1014

consult your manual,sounds like your ejector system needs oiling ,maybe loose ejector base plate,spring wore out ,ejector pin busted etc,this info is based on the m1 super90 & M1014 Benelli models, good luck M1014
