first Saftey,,don't shoot an unfamiliar weapon,,second,,lets get a look at the weapon,,post some multiple pics of the sl80-121 so we can better examine what your saying ,,third,,you will need a manual,,start a web search,,,fourth,,keep up,,when I reply you reply,,,,I say this because of you're lack of expierence on Benelli shotguns,,,,and the uniqueness of the pre 1986 Benelli shotguns,,,you and I can both learn from this but you got to stay in touch this time,,don't go running off for a year,,the 121 m1 is a great shotgun,,lets have fun and share the wealth,,

you're just a good natural loader Duggan,,all the lifters are the same since about 1989 when they finally ran out of 121 parts

there is hope for the dreaded Benelli thumb,,,,,theres these guys out west that modify the lifter or you can simply train yourself to pull staight back instead of staight down after each shell is loaded,,theres even a dvd on the straight back method,,excellent dvd on mastering your shotgun.

try it yourself,,you have both guns,,how ya ever gonna learn anything,,,,

its sad to see the M1 series go,,,it brought us nearly 20 years of great service and production,,theres some good buys out there,,watch out,,the prices are climbing,,,,

web page this is a good source for three gun info,,,,there rules change frequently,,they have a mastery shotgun dvd which is a must get,,

this case cracked at each end and the handle broke off,,,it just couldn't handle the Benellis

don't forget saftey accessories too,,,like these stylish colored trigger locks,,

there catalog has some that use the clamp ,,be ready to shell out some dough

the modified choke is a good middle of the road choke,,,yes it can handle slugs,,modfied is the tightest constriction you should go for slugs,,theres a choke section on the Benelli web page somewhere,,glad your having fun with your Benelli M4 [ 07-30-2006, 07:29 PM: Message edited by: M1014 ]
