M1014s are just pure joy,,,,,,,,as far as the recoil tube locator, try a law enforcement friendly gunsmith,,,,remember M1014s forever,,,,,,,,and that ain't me on your screen

Man,I know its a big ticket item,,,I had to beg borrow and steal the dough,,the recoil tube is replaceable,,thats an item that is torqed to factory specs and lock tighted down,,,,I would farm the tube removal and reinstallation to a very good gunsmith thats familiar with Benellis,,like a law enforcement gunsmith or so.Some things are better left to others-------- Peace M1014

the 11707 has no real advatage over the M1014,maybe more to go wrong with its extra so called features-------M1014 [ 02-16-2005, 07:53 PM: Message edited by: M1014 ]

the pistolgrip also comes off by spinning it off the threaded hub at the base of the recoil tube,,,,,,,,,and goes on the same way,,M1014 [ 02-16-2005, 04:36 PM: Message edited by: M1014 ]

hey DUNK,,your dealer is not to smart,,go ahead and get the M1014 over the M4,the fixed choke on the M1014 is wonderful plus you can either buy your telescopic stock set up or have your present tube machined for as many positions as you'd like where ever you;d like on the tube ,,,,,,,,thats the route I went and was way cheaper and made the M1014 more versatil, the M1014 and the M4 are the same weapon in every mechanical feature, including the the stock tube area,,,there built around the no tool needed tear down .I'll post some pics here on this topic to show you some examples---peace man M1014

the sling is from 4 different slings, its a inch1 1/4 web with uncle mikes rear swivels and a military detachment in the front with a pad for carry purposes, its built around the quick detatchable idea.the rear hole on the buttstock had to be enlarged a touch to accept the uncle mike attachment.I had a machinist do the tube, great job,,,,,,,,I hope you keep your M1014,,you won't regret it,,,,,best to ya M1014 [ 02-02-2005, 08:18 PM: Message edited by: M1014 ]
