  1. Does anyone know of a good website that will do a custom taxadermy job? I want to have a jackalope made, but i want to use a set of horns that I have. Thanks in advance!
  2. BenelliBoy, I haven't had any trouble with my gun, it is black. I didn't see a point in getting the camo.
  3. yeah, thanks for the help shell waster, that is the same thing i have come up with as far as the packing goes, but we are up for it, i'm "in my prime" so to speak and my dad is in very good shape as well. Just let me know
  4. Is there anyone out there who has gone on a mountain goat hunt up around Alaska, or B.C. that would recommind a good guide?? My father and I were looking at taking a trip sometime in the future, and are looking for some contacts. -Lefty
  5. I think i would hide behind a wall and pull the trigger with a string.
  6. sweet, just let me know, it isn't a life or death situation at the moment.
  7. So I scratched the h*ll out of my sbe the other day, it put about a 2 inch cratch down the barrel, but is there any way that i could fix it. Can you buy some sort of refinisher or anything??
  8. I would like the see a lefty wood stock on the SBEs' but they don't have them. I am happy with everything else.
  9. Yes, you are right, i am going to have to go with the all but too common brain fart on that one. I guess i was thinking of the M1? or maybe i just wasn't thinking.... that could be it.
  10. but you can only shoot one at a time, why so many?? I would have that many too, but tuition is more important at the moment.
  11. I guess if you got the Nova it would be 3 inchers though huh... sry for the brain fart....
  12. if your going to be cycling 3.5 all day long i would spend the money, if you going to shoot at bambi with the thing twice a year save your cash. that is my 2 cents as well.
  13. Yeah, the reason it is stiff is b/c it has pressure on it which isn't a bad thing, pull back on the bolt and it is easy. Mine is just as stiff but i accually like it.
  14. what situations are you talking about?? IE. bird hunting, turkey, deer, skeet, protection??
  15. i know that the SBE and SBE2 shoot 3.5 but i odn't know about the DU version.
  16. yes, i am with you Hugh, I figured that maybe mine got lost in the mail and all that good stuff. So now i have around 3 copies, one at my dad's one at my moms and one at my apartment. haha, i sent them to different places b/c i didn't know if they were going to make it. now i have an ample supply.
  17. It depends on you preference i gues JK, if you like the challenge or if you don't. i use my IC which is a happy medium most of the time, bc i'm not the greatest but i can hit a pie plate.
  18. Nicely put Blastr. Have any of you guys with the SBEIIs got the safety fixed that way? I was just wandering if they could be fixed in that way. it would be nice to know if it's only a very minor repair or something, and how much did it cost if it did get fixed.
  19. I just looked at mine and it's all good. my guess is whoever/whatever puts the cap on is getting too close. but opinions are like other things, and some stink.
  20. I was told back ordered b/c i was checking into one. But that was my gun dealer and he doesn't have a whole lot of volume. Good luck on getting one. it took 5 months for my first SBE to come in, so i wouldn't start holding my breath just yet.
  21. I'm glad to know that they replaced your gun, i have had no problems from mine, with the exection, of you can't cycle a 3.5 with a 2 3/4 shell, but that isn't a biggie, i wouldn't really expect it to, i was just playing a joke on one of my friends when i tried that.
  22. It's all good down here in GA too, we got a few mallards that have hatched at the family lakehouse, they will be domesticated by the neighbors to eat corn and bread though.
  23. IF that doesn't work, you can always buy you some knock off stock and cut it down for your son. I know that my first gun was cut down about 5 inches on the stock, and when i grew into it, we glues to old stock peice back on. Worked perfect.
  24. Well, i never have any luck when i go hunting, but i got to go fishing in the river today for some good red breast. We cought a good mess of them, and then me and my buddy caught a redhorse sucker. For everyone who doesn't know what that is, it is an endangered species that lives only on the stretch of river where i'm from, it was a very cool thing, b/c other that in magazines it's the only one i've ever seen. Not too many left.
  25. Good luck on getting a left handed anything from them, find a big dealer to deal with is what i would say, it took 8 months for them to find me a SBE. keep looking though. I tried to go through a local dealer, and he got me one it just took that long bc they aparently aren't the easiest guns to find.
