  1. I would love to have that rig in my arsenal. Good hunting.
  2. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0005491830116a&type=product&cmCat=searchFeat&returnString=hasJS=true&_D%3AhasJS=+&QueryText=waders&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2 Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.22&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=waders&noImage=0&returnPage=search-results1.jsp Those are what I use and recomend, me and my uncle have them and have gone 3+ seasons with no repairs needed. Exclent wader.
  3. It depends on how far away the bird is when your shooting. If you have mallards over decoys at 20 to 30 yards then 4's will do it. If your pass shooting geese at 50+ yards go with the BBB.

    new m2

Plastic... no, polymer yes. Polymer is what they use to make the synthetic stocks. I have the M2 and this last weekend I put 100 2 3/4" rounds and 50 3" and the only wear or tear I have to show for it is my sholder!
  5. The comfortstock is not fiberglass. If you have the booklet you can see 100.000 cycles with a force 20% higer than a 3 1/2 shell in there test setup. Here is the web page... http://www.benelliusa.com/innovations/comfortech2.tpl
  6. 1) No 2) Yes 3) 2 3/4 you can get 4 in the mag and one in the chamber... 5 total, 4 when you use 3 inch. 4) Totaly, if you don't like how few shels it holds get a mag extension off ebay, if you want a mid bead I am sure your gun smith can do it.

    M2 vs. M1

Why would it be... it's an M1

    M2 vs. M1

I decided to go with the M2 for the crio barel and extended choke tubes... I don't know about you but all the help I can get with a good pattern I will take.
  9. Porting dosen't really make the gun "louder" it just allows the sound from the shot to come back at you instead of out the barrel. I have experenced this in the duck blind when another hunter had a ported barrel for "faster fallow-up shots" he fired at a green head and we almost kicked his a$$ out the blind! Extended chokes will help with all shot patterns because it allows the shot more time to constrict so less pellet deformation. So with all them big words, they improve the pattern over short choke tubes.
  10. I used Breakfree CLP for 4 years while in the Marines, it's the only thing I will be useing for my firearms for a long while.
  11. I am sure you can, from what I read about it in Field and Stream the Model 2000 is a carbon copy of a Benelli Montefeltro. So that bering said anything that will work the the Montefeltro will work with the Model 2000.
  12. Has anyone tried to lengthen the forcing cone on there inertia driven auto? I am thinking about it but don't want to mess up the crio or the chrome.
  13. Hey Marine, can we have your email address?
  14. Number one, unless you got little Canada Geese you shoot #2 or bigger. For steel I use BBB on Geese. #4 should be fine for ducks. I personlay know nothing about choke tubes... all I use are the ones that came with my M2

    M2 vs SBE2

Personaly I went with the M2. Two reasons: One is the price, I got my M2 for 900 while a SBE2 was closer to 1250. Two is the fact that I think 3.5 inch shells are way more than I will ever need to fire. Now what you siad about faster on target I think they ment that a SBE2 is faster on target for the falow up shot using 3.5 shells and the M2 is 20% faster using 3 inch shells. Just my guess. But I love my M2!
  16. What specialty rounds from Firequest?
  17. CLP is the only thing I use. I was in the Marines for four years and that is all we used on the weapons there. It does an outstanding job!
  18. I went to Dick's last year to get the feel of an M1 and they don't cary them. Authorized Dealer is aparently a joke.
  19. The Benellis that are being used on South American dove hunts don't seam to mind the fatigue even after thousands of rounds. To be totaly honest, I will not be here in 150 years to shoot my M2. As for steel, a little neglect and 150 years the rust might ruin the recever.
  20. I have heard of weapons makers’ putting an identifying mark in the serial number so you know it was a wal-mart special. They are in fact made of lesser materials. Hope to god I never see a Benelli for sale there!
  21. People complain way to much about recoil. The new recoil reduction system on the M2 and SBE2 is an awesome advancement. The problem is Benelli makes a light shotgun, that is why I bought one. But a light shotgun makes for added recoil. My M2 is an excelent shotgun and I would own no other, but when I load up 3" shells it lets me know I am shooting a 12ga.! So thank you banjopicker for singing the praises of a beautiful weapon.
  22. Well for a cheep shotgun you can scout pawn shops. Pump would be your best choice. And if your trying to be really cheep a single shot, one shot one kill right. New England Firearms has nice single shot shotguns that are about 200 new. http://www.hr1871.com/
  23. While I was in the Marines we used CLP on every weapon in the armory. It's good as a solvent and a lubricant.
  24. Right now I have a few calls and I am sure to be wasting money on more. Any suggestions for calls that are working for the rest of you? I got a Knight Hale Double Cluck Plus and it's not working very well for me. Thanks for your input.
  25. Thank you all you have been very helpfull and so fast with your responces!
